Ghostly Encounter

An average quality built set. I was expecting a bit more with how highly rated the room was. It was overall an average room. I played it with someone who hasn’t played escape rooms before so it was good for the purpose.

A VERY search-heavy room, which increased the difficulty for those two-player team - it was a nice challenge. Many of the puzzles don't make sense in-world (nor does why X is hiding in Y). It's a lot of creepy occult tropes mashed into one, but still managed to be decent with some fun puzzles.

It was a middle of the road room. Worth doing but nothing special. One or two unique puzzles. It seemed like some of the puzzles did not pop open as expected. Wish it was a little longer, we were surprised when it ended

The story is a bit spooky and there is a couple parts once clues are solved that I can see being scary. There were items that seemed like clues but was there to purposely throw us off. The final clue, I felt like I could have never achieved without a taller person with me as someone who is 4’11. I would recommend adding a stool maybe. Otherwise it was a good room. I did the room with my husband, 14 and 10 year old.

The theming was excellent! The GM was also great, and gave us very pertinent hints when we needed it.

A fun scary room that is family friendly! There were a couple puzzles I hadn’t before that were very unique! Our game master Lyric was very kind and happy to help!

Went here on a rainy VA day while on vacation with family of 6, smallest player was 7. This was a fun room and we all had a good time finding the clues. We were kind of stuck with one particular clue but otherwise many of the puzzles seemed pretty straight forward. Overall fun family experience. Staff was friendly!

8.8/10 Definitely a fun time and many of the puzzles were straightforward. However quite a few of the puzzles relied on the same solution. Some of the important story elements were auditory, but very quiet. Beyond that, the room was a lot of fun and had some great surprises. Just spooky enough without being scary so my wife actually enjoyed it instead of being terrified…. Which I like being terrified. So it was a good introduction to spookiness for timid players.

It was a cool room! A little too much reliance on one thing but other than that very fun.
