2 escape rooms

Serial Killer was a pretty fun game, it started off kinda like every other escape room, once we were all handcuffed and put into the room it was pretty spooky. We struggled a little bit with the final puzzle, but got out still wearing our cuffs. My group just didnt look for the handcuff key. After talking to the staff one of them explained they started letting people choose how scary the experience can be. They sometimes run rooms with no actor in them and guest just start handcuffed at the start, and they dont do any scares at all. The room is a little gorey with fake arms and body props ain't the first room My group wanted as scary as possible, because why not. Once we got past the rules and on-boarding process, our GM personality changed they played the part of the serial killer perfectly. Even did an outfit change (after bagging and handcuffing us to our start) and couple of pop and jumpscares. It made the game a little hard. And time pressure really got to us, we had about 40 to 30 seconds left when we finally got out. The ending of the game was really well set up, the exit is terrifying (it one of the rooms at the haunted house, that happens to be right next to the escape room, has some REALISTIC body props made by their FX team. My group chatted their ears off for sure.

Gameplay

Storyline Seemed pretty simple and basic but once it got started it was very immersive. Before we started someone asked us how scared we wanted it, the answer you give changes how pg-13 they go. You can start handcuffed and bagged or just handcuff. (They were very clear they do not do Landon during a room but can have an actor do scares and come into the room upon request)

Atmosphere

They use on of the rooms inside of Castle of Chaos. So the moment you go into the basement, it turns spooky.

Customer service

Staff were very kind, I met serial different staff some of them Seemed a little nervous but our GM was kind while doing rules and the set up, once the game started we had a whole new personality, that was very cool.

52 escape rooms

It's definitely a perk when you have the experience with building haunted houses and then go into the escape room business and that showed here, really nice set but definitely felt like a basic story for a serial killer room and in all fairness very rarely will you find a good enough serial killer room to have a story that's different than "[insert name] is a serial killer and has kidnapped you and you have to escape before he comes back in 1 hour" so it wasn't like we were expecting it to be crazy good and different anyway, however it was an overall well done room with a couple of new things we liked. Customer service was great, and they were nice enough to show us around after.

Room had some interesting twists I haven't seen before in an escape room. Staff was great and there were very few things about the room I disliked. Definitely worth a try, we're going back to try the Paranormal one soon!

Gameplay

A few puzzles had hidden components that were never alluded to via hints

Atmosphere

Props and special effects were okay

Idk. I may have been in a bad mood, but I’m just over the unkept horror aesthetic. This place isn’t my favorite.

Gameplay

It was fine. I’m not a fan of puzzles that can’t be moved or else it messes up the whole puzzle. I also felt like a couple things were a little deceiving.

Atmosphere

I’m tired of horror rooms being unkept because it fits the theme. This place could be a lot worse, but it still felt grimy.

This room is very immersive and really nice! We did it with 2 players and it was quite straightforward. In the beginning we were quite stuck (literally) for a while but that was also fun! The room has some unique puzzles and setups. If you like murder mysteries this room is for you! Probably it’s even better around Halloween since it’s in a themed haunted house with amazing props.

This room has the advantage of taking place within a haunted house so it has really nice set design. The puzzles are pretty fun and it’s certainly a unique experience.

  • Wasn’t really our style of play, but we enjoyed it more than most search-centric escape rooms.
