This game is based on real events that happened here in Waxhaw. In the late 1700s, Reverand William Richardson was the local church’s pastor. One day, his wife, Agnes, found him strangled to death in his study. Although some thought he had killed himself, others became suspicious. There were whispers that Agnes was a witch. The body was exhumed and, in one of the last witch trials in America, Agnes was forced to put her hand on his skull. Supposedly, if her hand came back bloody, this would prove that she was a witch. Of course, it did not, and to this day, no one knows what actually happened to poor Rev Richardson. Did he kill himself, or was it someone else … and if so, who? From Rev Richardson’s gravestone: He lived to Purpose He preach’d with Fidelity He pray’d for his People And being dead, he speaks

This is a great room! I would say more spooky than scary though. You need to talk to ghosts and try to figure out who was the true murderer was. We had a few hiccups in the game ending because one of the puzzles indicate it’s one person and another says it's someone else so we needed the gamemaster to clarify after the game, who the true murderer was. But the puzzles are great, and so is the set design!
It was up and down. The game starts off strong, because you are trying to communicate with a ghost. There were some haziness at the end for the goal of the game. The game starts off strong, because you are trying to communicate with a ghost. There were some haziness at the end.
I loved it! You start out in an old house, but...clearly there's more to it. No spoilers, but that room where the crime was revealed! 🤯

Nicely decorated- added to the spooky feel and there were some scary moments. Puzzles tied in well together.

We have usually only done rooms with a group of two - however it seems to be a somewhat tight space at times, I wouldn't suggest more than 6 for this one.
