Each EXIT Advent Calendar is an EXIT game and a 24-day-long adventure in one. Each door in the calendar reveals a unique room containing an exciting new riddle. Solve one day’s riddle to determine which door to open the next day. These games are completely card-based and unplugged. They include a decoder board, riddle book, and riddle cards. Oh no! Something terrible has happened: Santa Claus’ golden book has disappeared! It contained a complete list of all the Christmas wishes. If the book isn’t found by Christmas Eve, there will be nothing but sad faces around the tree on Christmas morning. It is up to you to save Christmas — and time is of the essence! The thief’s trail leads you to a remote mountain village. You quickly notice that something strange is afoot here … but what? And where has the golden book gone? You must find it, but let me tell you: Behind the doors of this village there are many surprises waiting for you! This advent calendar is an EXIT game and an adventure story all in one. To find the golden book, you must open a little calendar door every day. Behind each, you will find a new exciting puzzle, the solution of which will help you to move onto the next room. Only if you follow the clues and solve all 24 puzzles will you find the thief and the book ... and save Christmas.

This tabletop escape game was a fun project spanning the 24 days before Christmas! I liked how EXIT took the Advent Calendar approach with daily puzzles. The puzzle a day format, while fun, was a schedule we weren’t always able to adhere to, and we ended up doing chunks whenever we had a free moment. Maybe it’s better this way for us? Because some puzzles were so easy that they were solved in an instant, while others took over a half hour. As usual with this brand, some of the puzzles that require handcrafts and their flimsy cardboard don’t always work. Other than that, I had a lot of enjoyment this Advent season and loved some of the final culminating puzzles. The story was ok, and the final reward was meh, but it’s the journey that counts here. I would recommend this one over the Ice Cave calendar at least. Merry Christmas!

This is a unique twist, an escape room built over 24 days on the advent calendar 📅 . A must try for those obsessed with games or to liven up the religious season. The Exit Game delivers on many levels. 1) Range of Difficulties 2) inexpensive for a group 3) Take Home fun 4) well designed 5) high quality This stay at home option for obsessed escapists is definitely a great option. It’s a great option for large families (that suffer the burden for the entire rooms price). There is a scoring feature and clues/hints are available which reduce your score.
