Each EXIT Advent Calendar is an EXIT game and a 24-day-long adventure in one. Each door in the calendar reveals a unique room containing an exciting new riddle. Solve one day’s riddle to determine which door to open the next day. These games are completely card-based and unplugged. They include a decoder board, riddle book, and riddle cards. Your pre-Christmas ski trip definitely hasn’t gone as planned: Just as you are taking a break and enjoying the crystal-clear mountain air, you hear a noise and see a terrifying avalanche crashing down the mountain towards you. Your heart is in your throat, you hastily grab your seven things and race down the slope. With the last of your strength, you throw yourself into a crevice in the rock as everything behind you is buried in snow. Your heart races and you pull yourself together. You can hardly believe it, but you are alive! Only then do you take a look around: is this some kind of cave? This advent calendar is both an EXIT game and adventure story: in order to free yourself from this predicament, you must open a door of the calendar each day. Behind each door you will find a new and exciting riddle, the solution to which will bring you closer and closer to escaping the cave! Will you solve the mystery of the ice cave and find the exit?

Overall a fun 24-day daily Advent calendar game. Unfortunately, some puzzles were misses due to flimsy cardboard and dubious handicrafts. My favorite part of this tabletop escape game was the finale and reward. There are some great clever puzzles at the end. If only there were more hits behind every door. I will give the disclaimer that as it was December 24 when we started it, we did do the whole thing in one 4-hour go. That’s obviously not the best way to play it. That said, the worst puzzles are upfront so it wasn’t fatigue that did us in. Stay warm and cozy if you attempt this calendar!

I LOVE Exit. Played every game type of love. But the advent calendar fell short for me. Perhaps advent calendars just don’t belong in the escape room realm, but I found myself losing momentum, skipping days because I forgot and overall losing interest. Gameplay was great, but it was like escaping but for five minutes a day.

This is a u air twist on escape rooms as the game is stretched over 24 days of the advent season. Very unique way to liven up the festivities and keep the obsessed escapists hungry for more. The Exit Game delivers on many levels. 1) Range of Difficulties 2) inexpensive for a group 3) Take Home fun 4) well designed 5) high quality This stay at home option for obsessed escapists is definitely a great option. It’s a great option for large families (that suffer the burden for the entire rooms price). There is a scoring feature and clues/hints are available which reduce your score.
