The Chimalpopoca Idol was believed to be something of legend. Following your groups discovery of the Pathfinder Totem an expedition was started to try and discover whether this relic truly existed. On the cusp of uncovering the treasure, your group was betrayed. A rival expedition now seeks to steal the treasure for themselves. Now it falls to your group to appease the gods and retrieve the Idol before it’s too late. Will you unlock the treasures or will you too be lost to history?

Honestly the hospitality was second to none! The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room itself was great, beautifully designed and really felt like a lot of effort had gone into it. A mixture of locks and puzzles and the ending was super personalised - we loved it!

What a brilliant room! Such good fun in a really wonderfully designed set. It felt like you had stepped into the Aztec zone on Crystal Maze! The quality of the set design was excellent and you could tell a huge amount of effort had gone into making it. Lots of physical/tactile puzzles which I loved. The host was brilliant and really got into character, adding to the immersion. I will highly recommend this room and think it's my new favourite of the 74 I have now completed! :) We played on medium mode. A really interesting game mechanic which should make it suitable for all abilities.

Group of 4 c.25 rooms in total. Needed one gentle nudge on one element, chose hard mode. Super room with plenty to do and keep you busy. Think Aztec Zone from Crystal Maze - lovely set design. Spent a while on one puzzle, physical and team work required, but got there in the end! Really fun closing task. Excellent GM hosting who spent some time after discussing puzzles and the varied difficulties on offer. We would definitely recommend visiting and playing all the games at Prodigy.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate such a thoughtful review. I’m glad The Lost Temple kept you busy on hard mode and that the balance felt right with just a gentle nudge when needed. The Crystal Maze comparison always makes me smile and I’m really pleased the set design and physical teamwork elements landed well, especially that final task. We had a lot of fun creating The Lost Temple and it is always great to hear when people appreciate the style and structure. And yes, just one padlock... Although we might of added something new in with an additional padlock to keep groups busy whilst a particular puzzle (Miner's hat!) is being completed. We wanted the room to feel more about discovery and interaction than opening lots of locks. Really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and hope we get to welcome you back again sometime. Fantastic experience - great atmosphere, a good variety of puzzles that were satisfying to solve, and our host was so welcoming and lovely. We'll have to try another room sometime!

Having come here after researching on Escape the Review in Exeter, this room did not disappoint. Ella our host was lovely, walked us through everything we needed to know, then sent us deep into the Aztec jungle in search of some lost temple. The puzzles were taxing. The decor immersive, and we had great fun in hard mode. Thanks to all at Prodigy, we will be back if we can make it while we are down.

We visited this as two experienced adult escapist and an increasingly experienced 9 year old escapist. The puzzles were interactive and logical enough for our 9 year old to attempt and enjoy. There were some mechanical puzzles (that I loved) that others may find a bit tricky. Dan had some good suggestions for those. Nicely themed, good puzzles, well hosted. We’ll happily try one of the others next time we’re in the South West!

I played this game with a group of 5 of us, and it was brilliant from start to finish. The owners have done a superb job with their set design, and all the puzzles flowed well with the story. It felt a bit like being in the Aztec Zone of the Crystal Maze, which is a compliment to the owners as I always loved that show. Would definitely highly recommend this room.
