This is a great room for larger groups of novice players. The difficulty isn’t very high, and the physical footprint of the space is huge, much larger than it needs to be. The intro videos at Doldrick’s are unhinged, quite entertaining, and actually worth watching. That’s rare in an escape room, and this sense of humor is one of this company’s greatest strengths. While a fun room, seasoned enthusiasts aren’t going to be too surprised by the puzzles or setting of this room. It’s a solid room, but I don’t quite understand why it’s a Terpeca finalist

I had fun and the puzzles were good. But I just wasn’t as wow’d as all of these reviews sound.

Some of the latches on boxes were falling off. You still couldn’t open it without solving, but some things could probably be updated.

What started off as a standard pirate game evolved the format and expanded in a beautiful way. Highly recommend. Split start, multilinear and one very good group puzzle. Gave us reason to explore and come back together. Puzzles were multilayered and dimensional. Set and props were quite worn down in places, but the puzzle flow is top notch. A must, if you’re visiting Doldricks. Ahoy!

Multilinear. Lots to do
Starts off as a standard pirate set, and expands on that concept wondrously!

As an avid enjoyer of thematic-driven experiences amidst flavorful puzzles for an interactive adventure, I must say this room was lacking. When compared to top rooms with similar accolades, this room falls short. It was a spam of mostly typical logic puzzles with little story thematic to pair. We have done rooms with more in-depth puzzles with split starts but the communication-basis of these puzzles were basic at best. There were only one or two puzzles we haven't seen before, however the overall originality of this room just wasn't there. I wouldn't normally be so harsh on this room, as it is a step up from what one would consider a basic escape room, but given the awards and hype on Morty, we left feeling that there was a lot to be desired. If you are looking to just solve a bunch of puzzles, this room has some flavor in design (albeit a bit old). If you are looking for a thematic experience of pirate adventure, I cannot recommend this room.

Loved loved loved. I had already been to the b&w train room; this was my second and I loved it just as much. Looking forward to trying another one.
FANTASTIC instructional and through videos. Unique mechanisms, logical but took some creative thinking.
Super immersive room, with well connected prop design.
They were so sweet and lovely, but more importantly they really were careful about asking if we wanted a hit and listening to the whole group’s preferences. They only stepped in when one team member was just missing an exact placement.

We were down to our last few seconds finishing up this room but it was such a good time. My hubby and I did a whole day of escape rooms at Doldrick’s and while Crazy Train is still our number one favorite, Captain Spoopy Bones comes at a close second! There was so much to do in this room that I agree with other reviewers. Try to bring more people if you can. They do have a split start and it’s definitely a divide and conquer situation but the puzzles were so unique that I forgive them for doing another pirate theme! I love the goofiness and the ending surprise and I would honestly recommend all the Doldrick’s rooms. This one might be the hardest in difficulty so just keep that in mind!

Another fun room in Orlando! Crazy Train is still our favorite but there is a lot to do in this room and the design is awesome. It would be easier with more people for sure. We had two, but this room can accommodate several more. Can’t wait to go back.

This was a truly incredible room. Impeccable theming and unique puzzles. The only downside is this should be a 90 minute, not 75 minutes game. There is so much going on that an extra 10-15 minutes would have allowed more time to think through puzzles and enjoy the final rooms theming

4 is perfect number but doable with 2 (with lots of experience or clues). Would be cramped with more than 4

Nothing inappropriate, in fact theming wise a kid could do this. But difficulty wise older is better
