This was a decent room- our favorite of the 4 here. Nothing too exciting or stand out but a great experience nonetheless.

Decent room. Did with the usual 4 of us.

I’ve now played 3 out of the 4 rooms at Mind Trapped, and I can safely say that I enjoyed this one the most out of the other 2 that I played. The room is not that large and not that difficult if you’re an experienced player, but it was fun and our game master was great to work with. I’d recommend this for a first time room, or if you’re looking for something fun to do on a weekend.
While the gameplay was engaging, one of my biggest complaints for mind trapped is that their rooms rely heavily on locks which slows down your playtime immensely.
Out of all of their rooms that I’ve played this one has the best atmosphere, though it didn’t fully feel like a villain’s mansion. It was well set up and designed.
Our game master was very friendly! Didn’t catch his name.

I’ve seen a lot of these villain themes done before and it was not the best or most creative one that I’ve seen.
There really was no plot or story other than you had to escape a villain’s mansion or he was going to blow you up, that was it.
Medium
With the exception of all of the locks this room was pretty dead easy if you have an eye for detail. I gave it a medium rating specifically because some of the puzzles rely on detail that you can easily miss.

I played with my team and I would say any more than 3 people and the room would start to get cramped, we also had some trouble of keeping track of who was on what puzzle.

Pretty solid experience. Not super ground breaking, but it does have some fun novel surprises. Haven’t experienced anything with this theme yet. A bit of a cheeky nod/reference to Doctor Doom mixed with classic “evil villains trying to destroy the world” scenario. The room is really new, like, opened within the last week as of this review. While we didn’t experience anything really wrong with it, pacing is always relative, others might think some kinks could still be ironed out. None of the puzzle are too difficult, but some of the “room logic” is a bit of a stretch without a hint or two. Overall, it’s a fun, lighthearted, inspired room with a nicely finished, “clean” feel to it. Definitely great for families too.
Light hearted and silly more than menacing. Actually kind of works. Not super detailed room but it’s serviceable and fresh feeling.
Silly “save the world” scenario, all in good fun.
