Mission Critical: The Lab

The most unique part of this room is that a “lucky” individual gets to have a special prop. I won’t go into specifics, but the puzzle to interact with the prop were interesting, and the resulting revelation involving it was also well-placed. That said, I think something more interesting and exciting could have been done with the elaborate prop, especially given the limitations placed on the person carrying the prop. Besides that, the room is pretty straightforward. Puzzles aren’t terribly confusing, and some have some basis in science, though there are so many locks with the same input present at the same time. We had to pretty much guess where each combination went, which was annoying. The set is a plain lab room, though emphasis is on “plain.” It’s decent for one of the company’s older rooms, but the newer rooms under different management better show what the facility is capable of. My overall chemical reaction is that science rules!
