The Great Sphinx of Giza is a mythical creature with the head of a human, a falcon, a cat, or a sheep, and the body of a lion, with the wings of an eagle. It is located right next to the Great Pyramids of Giza and is said to be under the pharaoh’s curse. There have been decades of debate among researchers about the possibility of tunnels and chambers underneath this beast’s paws. The rumors about this great statue became so wild, and debated that there is a hidden library, called the Hall of Records, which holds the answers to the Great Pyramids, the history of mankind, and the only exit. You and your friends are visiting the Sphinx as tourists, and one wrong turn turns into several wrong turns. You have found your way into a dark chamber below the Sphinx. Can you uncover the long-buried secrets of mankind and find the Hall of Records? Or will you become the next victims of the pharaoh’s curse?

We tried Below The Sphinx at "Trapped Guelph" location. the décor is very elaborate and feels real. it was like we were in a movie. there aren't many options for escape rooms in Guelph so to find one that is so good is like winning a lotto. the staff is incredibly nice.
the Egypt theme had been done over and over so we were worried, however, the story is good and different and we were pleasantly surprised.
fun and relaxed atmosphere
amazing staff

Trapped Guelph escape rooms is one of the places I am proud of in Guelph. I make sure we go every single time we have visitors from out of town. They have 5 games and they said they’ll keep replacing them with new ones for people to come back.
Many new elements I haven’t seen anywhere before.
The sound track, lights, and special effects made Trapped Guelph escape games very immersive and fun
Excellent customer service. Unlike other places where game masters treat you like annoyance, Trapped Guelph has excellent game masters. Andrew, Robert and Mac are amazing.

Excellent escape room with neat theming. Well worth doing. The venue is great, offering refreshments and snacks for sale. Lots of games and things to do while waiting. The temperature was also on the cool side, which to us was fantastic as we usually come out of the room too hot.
Very good flow to the puzzles.
Very immersive with good (but minimal) props. Also noticed there wasn’t a combination lock in the place. Most of the puzzles had a sort of Indiana jones feel to them that fit in perfectly with the theming.
No complaints at all. They were fantastic.
No
I would say nothing terribly novel, but a great experience.
Medium
High tech
All the puzzles had a tech component to some part of them. Usually getting something to pop open.

There are a few puzzles that physically need at least 3 people.
Spooky
Very mildly. But had a few surprise elements that made us jump. And the theme is a tomb, so it’s a little spooky.

I would say very. Everything was reachable and on 1 level. There were a few physical things to do. It was also dark but flashlights were provided.

Nicely designed room and had enough puzzles to keep us busy. Overall we enjoyed this room the most at Trapped Guelph!
