Escape the Murphy Mansion

As another reviewer said, the GM simply can’t refrain from offering helpful little comments, despite the fact that we specifically asked that he not do so prior to starting. This was better than the zombie room as it did not have red herrings. It actually had a couple of decent puzzles, but once again, there was no signposting so that on a cryptex you just had to guess the answer. My chief complaint is that there was a ton of reading in the room and I like it more when rooms are largely language independent. The set was okay and the little bit of added audio did help the room, but ultimately, it was not enough to overcome the deficiencies.

Decently fun room. Our biggest criticism is that the game master basically pushed us through the room by giving unsolicited hints for things that we would've liked to have figured out on our own.
