This was our first escape room ever, and we LOVED it! We really liked how you started in the common hallway and had to discover the secret on how to even enter the room! The puzzles were all fun, we were able to solve everything without any assistance!

Gameplay

The flow was good! It took a little work to actually figure out what the puzzles actually were, but in a good way! Some of the puzzles were fairly straight forward, but some were more complicated, and we got a great sense of accomplishment when we figured them out! A number of them were mechanically very cool!

Atmosphere

The lodge itself had a cool lovecraft vibe, but without leaning into the horror side of things too much. The room itself is "dreamlike" and perfectly matches the vibe of the scenario!

Very well! All the staff were great, and patient with our group of first timers!

Really enjoyed the experience. It is a little shorter compared to some of the other rooms that are at the location but definitely a lot of word smith puzzles. Unfortunately there was a technical difficulty however things happen

Wordplay is very important in this room and you will be jumping from puzzle to puzzle to solve the final puzzle

Very surprised on where the room was and never realized there was space for a room in the area! Very great on their part

Another fun experience at The Lodge, but this one was easier and shorter so it only gets a 👍 and not a ❤️. But if you’re a wordplay fanatic, then this one is closer to a ❤️. Indeed, we chose this room over some others bc we saw reviews mention the theme is wordplay, which we always enjoy and appreciate—and this room did not disappoint on that front! A couple of puzzles really made us think, but we still didn’t need any clues to solve bc everything was logical and fair. Well-themed and fun, just a bit too short for us 2 enthusiasts as we got out in about 40 mins. But we would still recommend this room and would love to do more rooms at The Lodge if we are ever back in the Twin Cities!

Loved this room. Very creatively designed space, and the puzzles were very fun to crack. Lazarus Crowe seriously does an incredible job with their rooms.

Super fun! Lots of interaction with items to ultimately complete a final puzzle, which involves objects obtained by solving each aspect of the room.

Very immersive and awe-striking! I loved just being in that space.

The Lazarus folks are all wonderful people.

The use of the artifact to find your room is such a cool element. This room has a surprise with how it's revealed.

It was pretty fun, but not 100% Many of the props had a 'homemade' look which isn't necessarily bad but I've seen more immersive places. The puzzles were cool and some of them were pretty tricky :D

The room was kinda small/you didn't need to move much for the puzzles

I think it would be, there weren't any stairs but I'm not sure how wide the doors/entryways are. You get your clues audibly so that may be difficult for a Deaf/Hoh person.

The theme is so quirky and different - totally unexpected, but definitely appreciated. There was a lot of fun wordplay too. It was a little on the easy side, but really we just wanted more of it because we were having so much fun!

I think this is actually only a 45-minute room but it was in one word 'clever.' There were some unique puzzles, but the immersion into a dream world is sooooo well done and I always appreciate some fun word play. Logical puzzles as always from these folks. As all rooms at this location the first couple puzzles are in a shared area that then breaks off into a private space for that room. Don't expect to chat up the employees about escape rooms though.
