Permanently Closed - lvira's Nightmare revolves around her inheritance, and old family mansion once belonging to Morgana Talbot. T he Talbot's made millions during WW-I developing medical equipment for the government. This they invested in the stock market, making millions more. WW-II brought the Talbot family more financial success and even more bizarre research grants. Their success attracted a constant flow of unwanted money seeking strangers: beggars, charities, and con artists causing the Talbots to retreat to the safety of their massive estate. The Talbots were sequestered for nearly 40 years. The mansion being riddled with Secret Passages, Peep Holes, and Wayward Experiments gave birth to many Dark Family Secrets, not to mention a tradition of forays into the occult! Over time the threads of Talbot sanity began to unravel. Travelers would report strange sounds, screams, cries and yelling interspersed with maniacal laughter. Strange help wanted ads appeared in 1979. Over the next year applicants told tales of being interviewed by a whispery old man seen only in silhouette, or by an old woman in a rocking chair, asking questions about the applicant's family, lineage, and other personal items. In October 1989 all these events came to a cataclysmic climax. Back during the days of swing music the mansion was famous for it's extravagant Dances and Parties. Now, for the first time in over 4 decades a Grande Ball was to be held. Guests were invited. Old family friends, nieces and nephews, whom the Talbots had never met. The Ball began: the guests could not help but notice even through the recent paint and polish that the once opulent estate had fallen into decay. A stench of age, mold and neglect filled the air. The Talbots themselves had deteriorated into ghoulish shadows of the Lords and Ladies they once were. After an excellent dinner the guests were urged to tour the once stately home. One by one the guests split off into deeper sections of the house. Weeks later, as friends and family of the guests urged police to investigate, the true nature of the "Ball" could only be theorized. But what really happened will never be known. What they found were bodies, bodies everywhere. Some murdered quickly, others tortured slowly to death and a select few took their own lives. Many bodies in multiple pieces were never fully identified and others never found. To this day authorities don't know if any of the Talbots of that fateful night are alive or where they may be. Now after years of searching the last surviving direct decendant of the Talbot family is found..... Elvira ! Come see what she's done with the place. A few personal touches here and there, but much of the old house is still unexplored. Many of the rooms are exactly as they were that fateful night when all those guests lives were cut short. Every year about this time strange sightings, phenomena and eerie noises increase in number and severity. What was that sound? Do you dare enter here, tonight?!

Haunted house hand designed by Tom Savini, looked fantastic. Just the right combination of creepy and spooky to set the scene. The throw in some jump scares for a screaming good time.
