The Wizards of Wyvern is the newest addition to Prodigy Escapes, inviting players – ahem, Wizards – to unite and restore the magic of Exeter. To do this, you’ll need to locate the source of power: a stolen magical egg that’s hidden somewhere nearby. Once you’ve donned your wizard’s cloaks and hats, you’ll be ready to take on the challenge. Dressing up is optional, but come on – who doesn’t want to don a cloak?! As you might expect in a wizard-themed room, you get to brandish a wand, cast some spells and use magical artifacts to reveal the way forward. To achieve this, there is a mix of traditional locks and technology employed, keeping the game grounded while allowing for surprising interactions. We loved the level of creativity that went into the puzzle design, with a clear focus on imbuing everything you encounter with a touch of magic. It isn’t very often that you come across something truly spellbinding as an adult, but there were a few moments here that we found captivating. I can only imagine the reactions had there been any children in our team! Clear communication is vital for some tasks, where you need to work with items across multiple spaces simultaneously. We actually worked together really effectively, adjusting our approach to one particular puzzle and keeping calm when another wasn’t going as smoothly as we’d have liked. Everyone had their moment as we hurtled towards the endgame. The experience culminated in a dramatic reveal that served as the perfect climax to our quest. We finished the room on a real high, full of energy from what we felt was the best room at Prodigy. If you are a fan of the fantasy theme/Harry Potter, then you’ll love this room. If you keep your eyes peeled, you may even spot some cheeky pop culture references that the team have slipped in. A wonderfully quirky room that flowed beautifully, with a variety of puzzles including a couple that we hadn’t seen before. Great fun and amazing hosting from Dan, he and Lisa are so passionate about what they do and do it brilliantly. Suitable for all ages, groups and levels of experience - highly recommend a visit when you are anywhere in the vicinity of Exeter.

Really solid and fun escape room!

Dan was such a welcoming, informative and funny game master from the minute we walked in. We were incredibly grateful that The Prodigy was able to fit us in for a spontaneous game in the evening which most other escape rooms can't provide. We played The Wizards of Wyvern game and it is safe to say this has been our all time favourite! The game, story and props were all incredibly well thought out and the theme was incredibly fun. We are keen escape room enthusiasts so Dan was kind enough to share the behind the scenes of the escape room and its mechanics as many of the puzzles were unique to this game and we haven't come across such innovative game play before even showing us his custom soundboard which was hilarious and made the game even more personalised. We look forward to coming and playing again soon! Thank you Dan and The Prodigy Team! :)

Three of our group had this room as their favourite of the three, one had The Lost Idol. A really good mixture of different types of puzzles and tasks with enough to keep us busy on hard mode with no clues. Excellent GM hosting and would definitely recommend playing all three rooms at Prodigy.

We loved this game- we played as a three for my daughter’s 21st. The host was so friendly and really went the extra mile to make it a great experience! The puzzles were really inventive and a brilliant mix of different types of puzzle. The decor was well done and after finding what was in the chest it was very easy to become fully immersed in the game. We’d only played 3 games previously so we requested medium difficulty. We needed quite a few clues which were hilariously done and in keeping with the game, and it really felt like our host wanted to help us to escape and end the game successfully. Please go and play this room, you won’t be disappointed! Great for younger players and adults alike- really good humoured fun!

Loved this room. Great, well looked after puzzles. Got our brains thinking.

We came to Prodigy last year and did The Lost Temple, really love it so came back for this one. We’re a family of 4 with two boys, 9 & 11 who don’t like anything too scary. This was another great room and what was even better is how the staff welcome and look after you. Top class.
