Metropolis 2099

The concept behind Dreamlabs is phenomenal. From the very beginning, the fantastic game hosts completely pull you into the experience, making everything feel just right. In terms of set design, this is one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever seen. It is packed with details, and it’s clear that everything has been thought through down to the very last detail. I was also completely blown away by the special effects. The puzzles were fun. They were still fairly linear, but there was already more room for teamwork than in Pirates. There were also some very original puzzles among them. My biggest “problem” — and the reason why this room doesn’t get a heart from me — is the ending. As you can tell from the rest of my review, I have a lot of praise for this room. The story, puzzles, and atmosphere completely draw you in, and everything builds up beautifully. Until it suddenly stops. The ending felt so abrupt to me that I genuinely thought we were going to go back and that this was just a fake ending. In my opinion, this is currently an important area for improvement. I was left so confused and slightly disappointed afterwards that it actually overshadowed, for a moment, how good the rest of the experience had been. And that’s especially unfortunate, because with a stronger ending, this could have been a truly fantastic overall experience. If they manage to find a good solution for the ending, I genuinely believe this could become one of the absolute top escape rooms in Germany. Hopefully this is something that can still be improved in the future!

though the game was truly amazing with incredible visuals and storytelling and though i’d truly recommend to play this game while youre here, as it’s definitely one of the best games in the world, we were quite disappointed with the ending. it’s a game with incredible storytelling, but the storytelling isn’t that well emphasized - we had trouble hearing all the cutscenes and the ending wasn’t particularly breathtaking, unlike the entire rest of the game. all things considered, though, truly truly amazing. play this game, it is worth it.

Metropolis is an experience rather than an escape room. The set is absolutely stunning with flawless transitions, a very interesting story that feels like you have real agenda and choice. The only critic: You completely loose your sense of time. We had absolutely no idea if we should speed up or slow down, but we feel time management was happening behind the scenes without us noticing.

Amazing experience once again. Dream labs is next level.

Best sleep I’ve had in years

We did the game on our second day of the DreamLabs tour and I might say this was my favorite escape game I played so far. From an awe-inspiring set to a great storyline and some cool puzzles and some unexpected twists it was simply amazing. I felt fully immersed in the Bladerunner universe. My husband couldn’t come that time so we’ll go back and I’ll definitely play it again.

An overrated game for sure. It’s too much search and find and not enough true puzzles.

A magnificent, dystopian dream set in a crazy vision of the future that feels all too real.

Cyberpunk as you imagine it based on Bladerunner. The atmosphere and setting are simply incredible, so many moments where you stop to enjoy your movie like surroundings…

Loved this concept so much! It was so different. The theming and props were so spot on! It was an incredible adventure to the future! (In my dreams of course!) loved the storyline and all the gadgets throughout the game. Loads of great puzzles and very stimulating moments! The ending was my favorite! Must see!
