This is a great room!
This was my 56th game (51W - 6L) which I played with four other adults with similar statistics. We played all three rooms at Exodus today and this one was my favorite of the three. I love non-linear games, nostalgic themes and decor, and lock & keys - this room checked all three boxes! Three of our five players said this was their favorite Exodus game (the other two liked Olympus a little more).
The room decorations and puzzles were fun and in perfect condition, there were plenty of puzzles for everyone to solve, and the lighting was good (hey, it's the little things...).
Our GM (Chad) was very friendly, welcoming, and respected our request for no hints unless asked. I don't think we needed any hints and we finished with 24:54 remaining. Don't let the time fool you though, the puzzles were challenging, I just have a couple of reeeealy smart teammates.
This was a funny and novel story which was very fun to play. The story and puzzles flowed very well.
The room was brightly colored and immersive. The room fit the theme well.
Chad, our GM, was great. He respected our request for no hints unless we asked for them. He and his co-worker were very professional, nicely attired and the rooms smelled great. It is a very classy operation.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
I thought the theme was really cute and playful.
Story
I don't usually listen to the stories, but I did with this room - mostly because it was playful and funny, but also because it is a big part of what you are solving.
This is a great room. The puzzles were challenging, but not overwhelming.
This room has lots of locks and key - my favorite kind of room.
We played with a group of five, which was good for us, but you could play with more or fewer.
We won't play scary rooms.
I say ten years old only because of the typical ten year old attention span. However, since it is a toy themed room, younger enthusiasts might have a blast in here.
Everything was in perfect condition.
We won't play rooms with live actors.
Physically active
Somewhat
It has the usual scurrying around, but nothing strenuous.
Accessibility
Vision and color vision are necessary, I can't remember if hearing is (but the music is fun). The room might be wheelchair accessible, but there are a few tight spaces. The business is on the second floor. I'm not sure if there is an elevator.
It is in a strip mall with an In-N-Out next door.
There is lots of strip mall parking.
