Spells, elixirs, magical powers: you thought your studies at the academy couldn’t get any more exciting. But when a gang of polterbolds — small, pointy-toothed creatures from the netherworld — shows up, chaos breaks out. Can you stop the creatures before they literally tear your school apart?

This is one of the worse entries in the series. It reuses a lot of puzzles from previous games. The Harry Potter theme isn't strong enough to carry the game.

Lots of fun, I enjoyed nearly all of the puzzles and the story. I also loved the props, especially having magic wands. However, one of the puzzles we managed to solve incorrectly but get the right answer (the incorrect code we got gave us the same answer card number as the correct code) and the last puzzle was good in theory but difficult to actually solve. Even when using all of its help cards we were still a little confused. Overall, I would recommend this game, I just couldn’t give it a heart rating.

EXIT has entered the realm of Harry Potterish magic school, and it aced its exam! It’s a level 2 out of 5 game so it’s linear, but the game does well with its use of props, of which there are more than usual, even though they’re just cutouts. Everyone having a wand or 2 of their own and being able to use it throughout the game captures the spirit of why people tend to enjoy magic academy games. It makes it feel like a more advanced game than their previous offerings, at this 2/5 level, at least. One of the puzzles was a mess, sadly, but for the most part, it’s fun for wizards of all ages!
