A Knight to Escape

Escape effect offered a full night of escaping. Three rooms, 3 hours, go all in on escaping. By the third room our brains were mush, absolutely one of the best nights out.

Loved this two-hour escape room! The time flew by. Had so much fun with just the four of us. Fun puzzles!

We were so close to escaping. We were on the last puzzle. There are so many puzzles in this room and we struggled on a few of them. They respected our request of no clues. If we had gotten a few clues we probably would've escaped with plenty of time. But we like a little challenge and this game definitely put one up.

My boyfriend and I did this escape room with my family for my birthday. It requires good communication and thinking outside the box! My boyfriend proposed to me in this room, he went prior and talked to the staff and they helped him come up with a good time in the puzzle to complete it. They were so amazing throughout the game and helped him pull off the best surprise! We love escape rooms and always do them together, I love our engagement story and couldn’t have had a better experience or escape room for it!!

The game master switched halfway through the game, leaving us stranded. We repeatedly asked for clues, but none were provided, and the new game master seemed confused every time we requested a hint. It was not a good experience. With the right game master, it could have been great, but since it was the last game of the night, assistance was nowhere to be found.

The strongest part of Knight to Escape is the set, which is nicely themed and decorated. This game is unusual because for a lot of it, your group is split. Unfortunately, it often felt like one side was waiting around for the other to do a critical thing and was unable to help, and the overall feeling I had was of frustration rather than enjoyment. Some of this was our fault - we had some search fails, confidently wrong answers, and newish players, but I think the room design encourages these errors. The room was dimmer than I'd have liked - I get that it's atmospheric, but I think they went too far into not-fun territory.

Starting off as a prisoner was a trip. My husband's best friend and he went into one room, leaving me with the best friend's husband, and it was so awesome. Working as two independent groups until the puzzles finally linked us together was great Sadly, we didn't finish the room, but the suduko was to blame. If it wasn't for that puzzle, this room would've been perfect! It still ranks as my number q game.of.all time, so.ease go play it!

On vacation, and in Orlando, we decided to try out a two hour escape experience. This place was off the hook it was a massive undertaking four 4 people with some really excellent puzzles and a great theme! There isn't just some mental skills needed to get out of this room, there are some physical ones as well. There is one puzzle that almost ruins the room, it's not hard, just a major time sync, and if you've seen any of it reviews, I hate those! All in all, even with that bad puzzle, this room rates as my second favorite room ever. Well done! Highly Reccommended.

For our third round at Escape Effect we had a good but not extraordinary time. Theme and the set were awesome and puzzles were very novel which enjoyed a lot! Though our big problem here was the darker side of the game. We understood the point of it being a low lit dungeon but there were things that were hard to make connections with it being so dark. Although with that said we genuinely had a good time with the dynamic of the room and will be back soon for Odds with the Gods :)
