The Mush Room

Fun Gen 1 room with a good number of puzzles, though the puzzles are generally on the simpler side. If you’ve done Escape Room 66’s other rooms at either location, The Mush Room will feel familiar and on brand in terms of puzzle styles & flow as well as decor/props. We did this room as 3 enthusiasts who purposefully stuck together on nearly every puzzle so we wouldn’t finish too quickly, and we still got out with 17 minutes to spare.

Such a great room! The puzzles all felt challenging while making total sense. Our group of two made it out with eight minutes to spare using no hints. We preferred this one to Inksidious, but both are really unique and fun. The story didn’t really play into the puzzles all that much, but I honestly didn’t mind. The people who work at this location are super enthusiastic, which always makes the experience better!

This was such a fun and detailed room for our group of 8, including 4 kids ages 8-10. The kids don’t like any potentially scary rooms, including darkness, loud noises, spooky music or scary themes. So it’s quite a challenge finding a room fitting those criteria and that accommodates 8 people AND that allows kids who are young as 8 years. Game master and proprietor Tuesday was a delight - so friendly and happy to chat with us and quick with the hints when we needed them. If every game master could be Tuesday that would be phenomenal. The lock and key puzzles may seem less gadgety and cool but actually they were so well done and deeply themed and everything worked (unlike at the rooms where magnetized locks and similar are heavily used). The puzzles were challenging but not too much so for our group - we worked well but still needed a few hints to make it in the hour. I’d highly recommend this to anyone with kids or others who want to avoid any fright potential and who wants an interesting and deeply themed room. There was lots to do for all the kids (and parents!) and no fighting over who got to use the key, open the box, etc. - which was a major victory in itself!

I think there were too many puzzle locks. They didn’t have different ways of unlocking the puzzles.

Tuesday and her cat beans are the best. We’ve done mush room and Inksidious and I highly recommend them both. Mushroom is harder (more puzzles) but story is not as unique. Still a great set and fun puzzles. Great stuff all around.

The staff here is so joyful. The room was very cute, and the puzzles were really fun to figure out.

Mush Room was a delight to experience and solve. Quite a different game than Inksidious, and shows how capable the team is over at Escape Room 66. I really enjoy the home made quality of these games, excited to see what they cook up next ☺️

We escaped by the hairs on our chiny chin chins! This room was incredibly cute and fun! Everyone had a puzzle they were good at. It was amazing watching our kids look at puzzle in a way we as adults did not and they nailed it!
