Our story revolves around you, a group of children, really keen on circus performances. Unfortunately, last night one of your peers was kidnapped. As you were searching for evidence, you found a ticket cut out from a circus you've never heard before, βWanderlust Circus, 1940β. Without second thoughts, you decided to seek your friend at the circus site and even though you managed to get inside, you realized you are trapped in a cursed circus. Shadows and dark figures appear on the walls creeping between the red and white stripes. I do not know how but, you have to be fast and find a way to get out before the clown returns.

Of the 3 I've played so far, this is the best room at this venue. The visual appeal is most evenly matched with a decent puzzle flow here, with some truly fantastic scares. Also, this room did best at offering some non linear elements that allows everyone to be involved.

This had some novel jumps ares I really enjoyed.

Not broken per say, but one major tech element is not calibrated well and could become a major time sink.

Of the three rooms I've played here, Horror Circus is by far the best. It had enough elements I thought were fun or clever to push it into "heart" territory, but juuuust barely. I don't regret playing any of these games, but they wouldn't be in my top recomendations for the area. More than anything, it is frustrating to see games that show so much promise and the occasional glimpse of brilliance, be bogged down by generally un-fun and often unintuitive gameplay. This company employs a hint system that you interact with through a touch screen in the room. In order for this system to work, the gameplay has to be largely linear, so when you ask for help, the program will know exactly how far you've progressed. However, it will not offer specially tailored hints, so often you'll realize what you need to do but can't quite get it right. Upon asking for help usually you'll just be told to do what you've already figured out you need to do. There is an option for "more help" which will usually provide a better nudge in the right direction. I'm glad they provide incremental help so as to let players only get as much as they need to keep going, but it does feel extremely impersonal and more like you are a cog in a machine than anything else.
The puzzle flow is the best of the rooms I've played here in that the puzzles weren't overly complicated and had some deviations from the generally linear style of this company. There was one puzzle that made me exclaim "oooh that's so clever", which is always a good sign. However, much like the rest of their rooms, there is some finicky tech that might suck up your time or delay the moment between the "aha" and the solve.
The scenic design does a great job of conveying the playful yet menacing vibe of the situation you are in. Is this mind blowingly immersive? No. But it is definitely miles above a sea of rooms that are content with the bare minimum
Our GM was super friendly and welcoming.

It got the job done but it was extremely easy to forget what the point of the game was once you start playing.

This game contains a few well excecuted jump scares. One of which I did not see coming at all. Loved that!

Nothing was broken, but there is some very finicky tech in this game. On one particular puzzle our GM told us that her group spent literally 20 minutes on it. And apparently the owner was in the group playing it. This is the sign of a bad puzzle that needs to be reworked. Our group collectively groaned when we realized what was going on with this puzzle

A perfectly adequate escape room of the sort that I would not go out of my way to play. Nice lobby, though.
An okay implementation of a moderately unusual theme. A couple of good puzzles, a couple of dexterity puzzles (appropriate for the circus theme but still annoying if you donβt enjoy physical challenges in escape rooms), and the rest of the experience is β¦ fine?
They made an effort with the set, although it is nothing spectacular. But it gets the job done and there are a few nice props and set pieces.
Very friendly GM.

Itβs not the worst creepy clown game in Atlanta, thatβs for sure!
Something something missing friend something something lost souls something something escape before you are doomed to join them and then basically nothing that happens in the room either reinforces or builds on this story at all. No real attempt to foster a sense of dread or impending doom. There was a chance to do a lot more here.

Spooky
There are some jump scares and the overall environment is βcreepy clownβ but nothing that I could credibly describe as scary.

There are a couple of dexterity puzzles. No climbing or crawling. One doorway is low and most people will have to stoop to get through it; it is not padded.
There are several narrow doorways and small spaces. The entire venue is in a second-story location that appears to only be reachable by an exterior staircase (no elevator).
