Jacobs Nightmare

Overall a great room with stranger things vibes to start out. It was definitely spooky but not scary and I think it’s probably due to lack of a live actor. There was a frustrating point when we had completed the task multiple times but the GM was not aware and did not trigger the next step. Spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out where we went wrong. There were also several props that looked like they used to be puzzles but weren’t used/needed so not sure if we bypassed steps or missed out. GM Jacob was great and personable! Definitely do this room if in the area!

I did not realize there would be actual jump scares. Our GM was super nice but I was too scared to solve anything :(

The standout game at Huddys and the best game in Gainesville. Play it! A few points for improvement: No post-game photos allowed in the room is a bummer. I feel that in several ways, this company is missing easy ways to help boost their customers' satisfaction. Also: there's a multi-layered puzzle in the game which was completely removed. Not only did they leave the props (OK), but they left in the old cluing - leading us wondering when we needed to do XYZ. That doesn't make sense and just makes people feel like they're missing out. It looked like a great puzzle - maybe they can work a new one in!

Super fun! Very scary though! Almost pooped our pants multiple times. The puzzles flowed super well and we only needed a couple hints along the way! Loved how the hints are through a walkie talkie as well! Would definitely recommend any one looking for a scary escape room to come pay them a visit!

Such a fun room! The atmosphere was awesome especially for the parents from the 80. It had music and decor we loved. All the puzzles flowed well and most were mechanical. I would say this is a great room for those without a ton of experience and teens. It had just the right amount of spooky. Honestly, had a complete blast and will be back.

We had scheduled back-to-back games for 4 teammates. As 2 of our teammates cancelled on us that morning, my boyfriend and I needed to carefully manage time, which we had informed the game-master. Despite this, the game-master did not inform me that a puzzle I had spent quite a bit of time on was no longer in play and unnecessary. Our time ran out while we were on the last puzzle, which we both felt would not have occurred if he had informed us to skip the puzzle that was no longer in play. Otherwise, I enjoyed the room.

My group had a fun time playing this game. I think for the Gainesville area, it’s great. Puzzles flowed well and there wasn’t anything too complicated. The vibe of the first room was fun with the 80s theme and music which I loved especially. There were some fun moments, but the game wasn’t as scary to us as we were anticipating. I think this game has the potential to be really different and scary, but definitely missed the mark with some wasted opportunities for scare and show moments with a live actor and special effects. Still would recommend checking it out if heading up to this area from Orlando.
