Outwit the ruthless, cunning Vladimir Stepanov to retrieve the world’s most famous painting. The Mona Lisa is missing! The Louvre in Paris that housed the world-famous art piece by Da Vinci, has offered a massive reward of $50 million. As an underworld art dealer yourself, you hear on the grapevine that the flamboyant and extremely dangerous Russian billionaire and art gallery owner, Vladimir Stepanov, is responsible for the theft. Stepanov has a reputation as a ruthless businessman… but your team decides to form a plan to infiltrate Stepanov’s private gallery where you’re sure he’s stashed away the Mona Lisa. Through your contacts in the underground art world, your group secures an invite to his gallery. You manage to sneak away from the guards and are able to hide out until the gallery closes, but now you must use your teamwork to uncover its location and make it out before Stepanov’s guards discover you.

There were 6 of us and we did a lot of standing around. It appears that was only 1 game master for several rooms and when you are dependent on the GM for opening things it makes it difficult and frustrating. We’ve done a lot of Escapology rooms in different states and this was our least favorite.

I wish there were a neutral rating versus thumbs down but this room was just ok to us. This room had some ok puzzles but a game master can really set a tone (this time it wasn’t a great tone). This room probably would have been a little bit better had it just been 2 of us but we were disappointed. We also found a door open before it should have requiring someone to come in and close it back. Just… blah

Another incredible game by Escapology! This was the last one left for us to play before we finished all the games at this location, so we were definitely a little sad 🥲 But what a way to finish the set! The finale of the room is incredible and makes the room playing just for that part. The room also had a good mix of puzzles that were really fun and easy and a few thinkers. One in particular really stumped us and we always appreciate a good challenge :)
