Secrets of the Illuminati: Our group snuck into the study of Sir Edwin Falkier, a member of the secret society of the Illuminati with the intent to locate and steal the sacred relic, the Statue of Sekhmet. However, we had to move quickly before the Illuminati caught up with us. Pros: The game master was attentive and a great guide through the game. We loved the puzzles in this room. Many of the puzzles required deductive reasoning which is something that we do not often see in many escape rooms. This made them quite possible to solve even without prior exposure to the puzzle type or any special skills. The puzzles in this room also varied considerably in type allowing every player to utilize their own unique skills to solve the puzzles. We escaped in record time. Cons: The room set-up was simple and basic in design. The storyline was clear in the beginning but not consistent throughout the room. Overall, we had a great time at Puzzle Workshop!

Wasn’t a bad a room but nothing too spectacular. We had a group of 6 and felt we went though it fairly easily. Some puzzles took a bit of patience and time but not too difficult. Honestly feel 4 or 5 people might be better as we had 1 of us standing around a bit with not much to do. This room I think needs just something to make it stand out, like a unique puzzle to fit the Illuminati theme, as it just felt like a room with run of the mill puzzles. Might be better for newer escape room enthusiasts. GM and staff here are very friendly though. But overall the room was just ok for me. I enjoyed the CSI Hollywood they have here better.

This was without a doubt a disappointing room. Puzzles should not take 15-20 mins to solve; this felt very lack luster for an Illuminati style room. Your eyes will probably hurt by the end of it. We were happy to leave.
Flow? Sure if you like spending 15-20 mins per puzzle.. we were getting so frustrated
Nothing special, simple props and decor, very office heavy
The staff was great, not their fault the room was a major let down.

It was not enjoyable much at all…
Retrieving an artifact from a host that looks like he’s in Jumanji? Why
Hard
Hard because the puzzles are designed poorly in terms of accommodating reasonable ability to solve.

Our GM was Blake and they were super nice! Very good energy and kind! One of the puzzles, we had to really use our brain which is always fun! Can’t wait to try the other rooms here

We had the best time playing this room! For a gen 1 room, it has a lot of unique and challenging puzzles I haven’t seen anywhere else. Super engaging and great flow.
Brian is the best GM!

There are quite a few time consuming puzzles, and we tried with only two people and failed. I recommend at least three or four people.

We did not escape :( But it was still fun nonetheless! The illuminati theme of this room will have you spooked and challenged as you try and hunt down a mysterious and historic relic from the Statue of Sekhmet. There’s a lot of variation in the type of puzzles in this room and would be ideal for a group of 6+ to distribute tasks and escape on time. 🔑 A tip is to not overthink the puzzles in this escape room and definitely ask for hints if you don’t progress within the first 15-30 minutes. The staff was kind enough to grant us 20 extra minutes on top of the allotted 60 minutes, but we still did not escape LOL 😆

Overall I liked this room. I had some favorite puzzles and one of them took a frustratingly really long time but it was a situation where I look back on it and was like “that really ended up being pretty cool!”The GM did have to come in a couple times because of things not working properly (she paused our time each time). We also got off to a slow start after figuring out the very first thing quickly. All-in-all I did like this room and had it gone smoothly I think I would be raving about it. Still I def recommend due to 3-4 of the puzzles!

You can tell the room is aged by the sets and props. Despite that, I really like the puzzles, which were mainly logical. Their type of puzzle was somewhat similar, but it’s the type that I like. It’s a low tech room but has its own charm.
