The design of the experience is very chaotic. There is a lot of decor that is not included in game play which I usually don’t mind, but because there is so much to get through there isn’t the time to be wasted on things like that. We were a team of two so maybe with a larger group this wouldn’t be an issue. There was a huge quantity of puzzles and while that in its self can be fun and challenging they weren’t always the most instinctive and didn’t necessarily fit as well into the theme of the game. There were some nicer pieces of set design in the second space. Overall the game is just a bit too chaotic for my taste.
In general there was a lot to do, but in a very disjointed way. It felt like someone had said it wasn’t hard so they wedged another 10 puzzles in which didn’t relate to the game very well. The overall flow of the game was super disjointed as a result of this.
I would say the second room had a lot of effort put into it and it matched the story well. Unfortunately we didn’t get that from room one.
It was a busy time for them so we had to wait a while to go in but the team were friendly.
No
As I say with the decor the story and the theme kicked in more with room 2. However in room 1 there appeared to be minimal narrative.
Hard
The room is certainly challenging but I think a big part of that is the puzzle flow. There was also a lot to get through and multiple red herrings in the decor, so consequently it’s harder to know what to focus on.
High tech
There is some pretty cool tech utilised in the second room.
