The theme and flow of this room could have been so much better, the biggest issue I have with Nixon escape is there are way too many nicknacks that don’t necessarily pertain to the game play. This was the second room done at Nixon and I liked it better than outpost but only slightly. However most of the people in our group didn’t enjoy this room and felt lost most of the time.
The game flow really isn’t great the set up to the game makes no sense and you are all tired up with one person on a bed.

The room is overly dark with minimal light making it so much harder to figure things out.

This room was a Gen 1 type of room which uses a bearable amount of locks and keys. Be thorough! There’s not a whole lot of context and there were some red herrings to slow you down. I have a habit of taking the bait so I did not feel satisfied solving some of the red herring puzzles. There were similar elements I’ve seen from older rooms. This room really tested our searching skills and if we looked thoroughly we would have done a better job. The room is not scary. There was a lot of crouching for some of our bad backs and knees. Pricing is a bit steep for this type of room, but don’t let this discourage you from adding this to a fun night in Uptown Whittier.
Linear. There’s not a lot of context. We had to look at things carefully to get a flow goin
It was very simple. The audio was just on a loop and it was from a wireless Bluetooth speaker placed on the floor at the corner of the room.
The Nixon crew was kind and welcoming!
