Welcome to Devlin Manor. Mr. Devlin has been murdered. And what you thought was a simple and possibly fortuitous "Reading of the Will" has turned into a deadly, high stakes "who done it" mystery. You have 60 minutes to find the killer and the antidote or you may be the next to join the ghosts that wander the hallow halls of Devlin Manor. Part 1 of the Devlin trilogy.

Overall I quite enjoyed this room. The story was fun and I liked that it kept progressing throughout the room as you played, which isn’t usually the case with most rooms. I quite enjoyed the puzzles in this room too. I do wish there were a few more, as we had 15 minutes remaining when we escaped with just 2 people, and we were not rushing. There are two puzzles in here that are not the typical sort that you’d see in an escape room. I really liked them, but I’ve gathered from the reviews that others did not enjoy them and found them to be quite a time sink. However I do believe they have logical approaches to solving them, so I think they are appropriate for an escape room. But I could see why you’d find them super frustrating if your brain just doesn’t work that way and you can’t get past them. You can’t really be given a clue for solving them, so they could be really tough if you can’t figure them out. All in all, I enjoyed this start to the trilogy of rooms and would recommend.

Good, although a little small.
Had some unique puzzles.
I liked it! Unlike most escape rooms, which only set the story up at the beginning, this one continues throughout, which made it more enjoyable and immersive.
Medium
Might be a Hard for newer players, but I would call it Medium for escape rooms enthusiasts. That being said, I like that the puzzles mostly did not have immediately recognizable solutions.
Mechanical
Lots of combo/key locks, although there were a few cool tech puzzles too.
2
2 felt like plenty for experienced players. I’d suggest 4 for less experienced groups though.

You need to crawl a few times.
I believe there is a part that requires crawling that could not be avoided. So if you’re unable to do that, you would not be able to participate in a few of the puzzles in this room.
Yes
Yes, although they have 3 units in this same complex, so be sure to double check the address of the room you are playing. However, if you go to the wrong one, they have a map showing you where the correct room is, and it’ll only take you a minute to drive to the other one.

We escaped with a lot of time left, but I wouldn't say it was because we were super good. It was because the room didn't have enough elements to keep us in the room for longer for a group of 4. Also, the games in this series being marketed as a trilogy made no sense. The three games' storyline didn't seem to flow together / were related at all and just throwing in some common names or roles throughout the storyline doesn't cut it.

Like the other rooms, this one has janky locks that are super finicky. Reuse of puzzles from their other rooms and nothing really cool. One of the puzzles fell apart. Another super linear room. I wouldn’t recommend this room. Good staff, bad room design.

Listen, I’ve given these rooms 3 chances and 3 times they’ve disappointed. Some puzzles are obtuse and some puzzles required hand holding PRIOR to entering the room. We got in at a 45% discount and it was still not worth it. Puzzles are janky and locks don’t work. I’ve done many rooms and No 1 rooms is just not it.

Very simple room. Be prepared to get on your hands and knees with no padding :(

Decent enough room. Pretty beginner friendly and I’d definitely recommend not bringing too many people. 2-3 really should be the max for this. Lots of crawling back and forth. Story was kind of all over the place. Nice and simple for a date night or to introduce someone to escape rooms!

This was a simple, linear, and enjoyable escape room. The rating says “hard”, but my boyfriend and I felt that this room was one of the easier ones we’ve done. The puzzles are very straightforward and easy to solve, but yet still make you think for a bit.

Gameplay flowed well
