I have seen the show twice and loved it both times. I have been engaged with this show since the beginning, back when it was only a mysterious coffee shop and a weird website that you could submit your phone number to. It’s been really cool to follow the whole world building process since then and piece the story together once seeing the show. It’s a very fun experience and I hope more shows like it continue to be brought to NYC.

Store brand “Sleep No More.” The choreography is broken. They hired Broadway choreographers, big mistake. Everyone in my large party reported constantly being in the dancers’ way, no matter where they stood, all evening. Led to feelings of shame. The dancers don’t establish their dancing space, and they don’t stay in one space for long even if they did. This results in injuries to audience members. We saw one audience member get kicked in the neck by a performer. Another night someone got punched. The production doesn’t have the experience that the Punchdrunk team has, and it’s definitely missing the soul of Punchdrunk shows. Worth checking out but temper expectations. It’s a professional show mounted by noobs.

Wow, fantastic! The sheer scale of this production is unbelievable. I did some research before going and I already had high expectations but nothing could truly prepare me for this. 100,000 Sq ft of space with 6 floors and 25+ characters and you're just completely free to roam around for 3 hours. Most of the rooms are also incredibly detailed and feel lived-in. The acting/dancing was great with many touching moments, action, beauty, and even raunchiness. This type of immersion cannot be replicated by escape rooms so it's a more unique experience. The only negative is that some of the scenes can get crowded, but you can always leave and find a different scene. There also isn't any interaction like an escape room, you only observe (choose your own adventure), though it's cool how close you are to the actors.

Did we escape? Yes. With our souls intact? Unknown. I'm a huge Sleep No More fan, so I jumped at the chance to see Emursive's newest project in its previews. Not all the kinks were worked out, namely the AC not working in summer, but it still ran smoothly for us. (Don't worry, there are plenty of kinks still working in place. ;) ) It's a completely different story than SNM and with a much larger space to tell it, which means I'll have to come back to catch what I missed. Looking forward to it!

Incredible immersive experience by the makers of Sleep No More. I loved every second of this show and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend

This is not an escape room. This is an immersive experience. It’s the new Sleep No More. Book the cocktails early and get some canapés before the show. The set design is absolutely next level.
