Very creative room. We wouldn’t say it was too challenging. There were unique aspects to the room which we liked because it was different from the regular escape room themes (prison escape, mafia etc).

A very cute little room meant to take you back to a bygone era. Is it exceptional? No, not really. But it plays with its theme well and the puzzles are fun.

Gameplay

Decently fun puzzles, albeit all pretty simple ones.

Atmosphere

Great atmosphere, and the puzzles fit the theme well.

Customer service

As always, 60 to Escape’s staff are excellent.

Look, there are some points where they could have been a LOT more mean with the puzzles. I get that this was meant to be a general audiences escape room, but it would’ve liked it more if it was a bit harder.

Game tech

Mechanical

Yet again I wish Morty had a β€œmixed” or β€œin-between” option. Definitely not super high-tech, but not exactly all mechanical either. Very few physical locks, but most puzzles were physical.

Is it linear? Uh, kinda…? This is definitely a lower player count room.

Well, the writing pad had one of its pieces snapped, but the thing still worked so it’s fine.

Lockbuster video was a standout game at 60 to escape that meshed fun puzzles, a cool environment, and some really great transitions/story elements into one complete package. This game felt unique and we will never forget our time with the Manager!

This is a really nice room! Was able to solve it with two people. My only complaint is that the animatronic Mr. Manager talks a little too much. It’s very cool to watch him talk and gives you a little bit of rest time; it just felt like he was taking up too much time. The use of technology was great and nothing too difficult. Fun play that required teamwork to solve and left me wanting more! They also gave us free stickers :)

This game was delightful from top to bottom. Puzzles are more like little mini-games, including a game I have been wanting to try for years! Relies heavily on nostalgia, so some fun could be lost on younger players. Not a lot of room to navigate so I can only suggest duos, or small groups where some folks are ok letting other take the lead. Everything was up to the standards I expect from this company, but some items do show wear, which is not uncommon in high traffic rooms. While 60 To Escape calls this a 7/10 in difficulty, I found it to be easier. It's very straightforward and your goals are laid out one after the other in a very orderly fashion. There is only one small chance for a puzzle to offer ambiguity, and even that isn't much of a hurdle. If that sounds like a complaint, it really isn't, it's a game full of fun, that will leave you smiling, not sweating with effort, and sometimes that's exactly what you need!

Walking, pulling, that's about it.

Some more narrow spaces to navigate, one section has a step up. One puzzle relies heavily on sound, as does story content from in-game character.

A neat room with some awesome moving sets. There were some frustrating parts to this room for us where we were getting the correct solve but were moving TOO fast so the game didn't recognize it. This happened multiple times. Another time, something didn't trigger properly and the GM (which is only available via screen, and only in the main room) had to give us instructions on how to make it trigger. These issues bump it down a notch in my mind, but still a room worth playing.

This is apparently the only active mall left in the US. On a Saturday afternoon it was JAMMED and we had to circle the lot multiple times.

LOVED the references to the other 60 to Escape games. The puzzles were themed so well to the game and the others referenced, and they were clever. Highly recommend playing this AFTER Hidden Temple, Invasion, and Pirates Curse. Also, the narrator was awesome.

So far my favorite escape room at 60. Have yet to do Cheesie’s though. Very cool how they make this room work, changing sets so quickly. Also very cool nod to their other rooms from other locations. Finished with about 3 minutes left with two people. Probably best suited for 3-4. Absolutely phenomenal experience though, game masters here are always helpful and fun too! 4.5/5.
