The acting and story were incredible, even despite our group’s trouble putting the whole plot together. The puzzles are very kinetic and fun, although they lean more toward a linear path than some other Escaparium rooms, so they’re maybe more fun for a smaller group. Altogether, though, an amazingly built and designed space; the story and the set work together with the lovely actors to pull you into the puzzles and story cohesively and create a truly unique experience.

I’m not going to be able to articulate very well how truly extraordinary this experience is. It very much fuses live theatre and escape rooms. The design of the space is a marvel and the performers are so committed. If you are a puzzle focused person this game might not land as well, however if immersion is your bag, YOU WILL LOVE IT. From the off it drags you into its narrative and keeps you locked in for hours. There are credits at the end of the game which was actually crazy to watch, and remember all of the things we had done. This has clearly been made with the pursuit of excellence and so much passion . I loved it.

There is not much I can say that other people haven’t. This is easily the best escape room I have ever done and the first room I have ever found myself wanting to do *again* despite knowing the answers now. We flew to Canada just for this room and it was well worth it. The set is SPECTACULAR. The puzzles are fun and designed extremely well. And the actors and story are phenomenal. Any criticism i’d have would literally only be nitpicking. This escape room is well thought out and crafted. I’d suggest it for literally everyone over the age of 8 or 9. Actually. I do have a criticism. I wanted better merchandise to spend more money on this room. They had like funko pops but they were a little large to take home in my carry on. I wanted like magnifico playing cards and pins.

I went on a trip to Montreal specifically to play this room and I am so happy I did! It won the #1 spot on TERPECA for a reason; production quality was top-notch, the puzzles were fun and different, and I enjoyed the way they were able to fully immerse players into the game and story. On top of all that, customer service was amazing! Everyone there was super nice and helpful! Well done, Escaparium!

I did 3 rooms at Escaparium as part of a team of 2 from the UK. The first part of this review is common to all 3 game reviews, the second half is specific to this game. The games at Escaparium are unlike any I've played anywhere else. It's more like being a character in a film or video game. The puzzles feel less like puzzles and more like important part of your adventure. I've taken a while to think about this review before writing it because while I loved it I didnt necessarily feel like I'd done an escape room (because it wasn't just a room with puzzles and a loose narrative around it). But a week later when I think back on the rooms I can't help but smile, for they were all amazing experiences, with incredible sets, fantastic actors/GMs and puzzles that were there but at the same time were just part of the story. So so clever! Magnifico was my second favourite of the rooms we did. The story and set were mind blowing and the level of detail - just wow! Multiple actors in this one and they were all brilliant, helping when needed to make sure you finished the story (this is probably more prevalent with teams of 2 as the room is meant for bigger teams). Some wow aspects that I've never experienced in an escape room before and likely will never again! Can definitely see why this is TERPECA no 1 this year.
