I really enjoyed how they guided you through this room. Lots of fun details and different types of puzzles. We did both rooms here and liked both, but this one is newer and a little bit more challenging. That being said, we still got out in 41 minutes and they told us they even added in an extra puzzle for us because we were going through the room so quickly. So my only wish would be for even more puzzles and more challenges so that we could spend more of the hour in this room. We loved how they added an extra puzzle for us that was even more difficult than the rest had been. If they could have added a couple more challenging puzzles in this same manner for groups like us that blow through the room, that would make it fantastic!

Enjoyed chatting for a while afterwards about escape rooms with our GM.

There was certainly one unique experience in this room that I havenβt seen anywhere else!

We only did it as 4 because there was a pretty big price difference between doing it as 2 vs. as 4. But we normally prefer doing rooms as 2 so that we can experience all the puzzles more.

Mostly accessible. One color puzzle that could be tough for a color blind person. One part with the floor that would be challenging for a wheelchair to move through.

Really fun room! Delightful theming and a wow surprise late in the room. We had group of 5 and that was plenty. Enjoyed their first room but liked this one more. This was bigger, more to do and better flow.
Really cool and immersive. Very impressed
Lovely game master!

We've done both of the rooms at this location and loved them both. The latest one, The Goblin's Secrets, is one of the most immersive and fun games we've played (we've done over 25 escape rooms). The difficulty is easy/medium. A bit on the easier side. We had 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids) and it was very family friendly. Love was our game master and she was great. There are a fair number of locks but there are some other unique and interesting puzzles and some really cool elements that stand out. There's a spell/magic element that set these rooms apart from other escape rooms. A definite must for any fan of Harry Potter or other similar stories. They're already working on a third room and we'll definitely be back.

The Goblin's Secret is my new favorite escape room! The set design and props are the highest quality and so detailed. I felt like I was in a room designed by Disney or Universal! In fact, there is a part during the story when my group and I were like, "OMG - what?! This is SO cool!!" (When you play the game, you'll know which part I'm talking about...). This was my 45th room (40W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice (I totally ride the coat-tails of one of my teammates, BabySquirrel). I played with two other adults with similar stats. We agree that this is an amazing room. It is mostly linear, although there are so many puzzles, that everyone in my group contributed something to each puzzle. The room is a nice mix of tech and mechanical. The puzzles are of medium difficulty, but they are numerous so the room feels more difficult than a typical medium room. We finished with 4:03 remaining and no hints. I would highly, highly, highly recommend it for all ages and abilities.
The story was novel, the props were over-the-top amazing, and the puzzles fit perfectly with the story. I give this room an abundance of hearts.
The set design, special effects and props are the most impressive I have ever seen. This room is my new favorite - I have a hunch it will hold this spot for a long time. I felt like I was in a theme park room at Disney or Universal.
The GMs for both rooms at Hidden Donkey were very welcoming and friendly. We asked that they refrain from nudging us (unless we asked, which we didn't), and they were very respectful of that.

Goblin's Secret was extremely interesting and different from other games we have played. The set design and special effects knocked our socks off.
I usually don't listen to the story, but this time I did because the room is so incredible.
Medium
The puzzles were of medium difficulty, but they were so numerous that the room felt more challenging than a typical medium difficulty room. I loved everything about this room (except for the lack of a timer in the room)

We played as a group of three adults (this was my 45th room) and there was plenty for each of us to do, despite the room being mostly linear.

I put eight years old only based on the attention span of a typical tween. But if you have a younger enthusiast, you should definitely include them. This room is awesome for all ages.

There is the usual rushing around the room, stooping, etc., but nothing overly strenuous.
I don't think the room is conducive to impairments.

This newer room is just as immersive & well-themed as their first, but since it has more puzzles, Iβm giving it a β€οΈ. Still, since they charge more to complete the room as just a team of 2, we went as a group of 4 enthusiasts and got out in 41 mins, even with an extra bonus puzzle thrown in. Both of their rooms are well done & enjoyable and have very high production value. We really wish they had more puzzles and were more challenging so we didnβt finish so early!

Truly a magical experience. I actually clapped with delight as we solved puzzles and cast spells. A must do room.

Wow! Put this one in your must do list! The attention to detail is off the charts. The best part is that we found out that the GM can increase the difficulty based on the groupβs experience to get the most out of the hour. I canβt wait until βpart 2β is opened. They have been working on this one for years and yes it was worth the wait. π
