Crypt of Shadows

This was such a cool use of total darkness in a room. I really liked the way that you could go from the area with totally darkness to an area with light so that you weren’t just stuck in pitch blackness if you didn’t want to be there. The set was well done, including a soundtrack and some lighting cues. A lot of the puzzles required teamwork, which I love. This one was definitely my favorite at Hour to Midnight.

Xander was an amazing operator!!! Overall escape room was very fun, made very good use of tactile puzzles, very on theme

I go through life with a number of assumptions. I LIKE to think I am pretty confident. I LIKE to think I am brave. I LIKE to think I am a leader. In essence - a T-rex, an alpha predator. This room proved me wrong. I am prey - I am a rodent and I am apt to freeze when I cannot see. I am the LAST person to volunteer to crawl into the dark hole and the first person to ask for a hint to get out of the room faster. And I LOVED it - if you desire to have your friend group howling with laughter as you cower and shriek because someone bumped into you in the dark - please give this room a try. I cannot recommend it enough

Highly recommend this room and all the rooms at Hour To Midnight. So well thought out with a loving attention to detail and great theme

Great spooky room! The interplay between the lit area and the totally dark area was great. There was some very cool and unique areas (that required some physical crawling and climbing, which I love!).

Excellent room, the majority of the escape room was done in the dark, which heightened the atmosphere. The puzzles flowed well, and we never got really stuck. If there had been good lighting, the puzzles would have been too easy, but in the dark they were just the right difficulty. Staff was fantastic.

Room was a lot of fun but a large amount of the room is done in pitch black. Maybe choose a different room if you have a nice manicure.

Very fun room! No major jump scares but you need to have some bravery in tight and dark spaces. A great starter for horror games if they aren’t your typical thing!

Loved it! Had a great scare factor (I don't get scared, but my friends freaked out a bit). Thematically fun, and a good flow with fun puzzles.

So much fun. Need at least one person who is not claustrophobic.
