295 escape rooms

Let me start by saying: when the game masters say that your brains might hurt by the end… they’re not kidding. We played with a group of four and barely made it out with 27 seconds left, so this room definitely delivers on the challenge. This is a very traditional, Gen-1 style room - lots of locks, keys, and puzzles everywhere you look. It’s only two rooms but they’re packed with puzzles on nearly every wall and surface, which made it hard to know where to focus next. We were given a pathway map to help guide us, but in practice it was still confusing, especially since some puzzles couldn’t be started until later rooms anyway. Because of the density of the puzzles, this feels like a room that really benefits from at least 4 active players, and honestly might even work better as a 90-minute experience for some groups given how much there is to do. Overall, this was one of my favorite rooms at Boggled because I love heavily puzzle-focused classic lock-and-key escape rooms. It was right up my alley, even though I was lost for the first five minutes of my experience trying to figure out what I signed up for in the first place. It was so much fun and I hope others enjoy the sheer volume of puzzles - though it could feel overwhelming at times.

I wanna start by saying the GMs were so nice and they clearly put a lot of effort into this room. However we didn’t exactly enjoy it, just want to give it our honest opinion if there’s others like us that aren’t much interested in heavily gen 1 (lock and key only) puzzle based rooms. This one is only 2 rooms. And it’s completely confusing to navigate what to do next as there are just puzzles on every wall and area and you really need at least 4 people to actually escape. The GMs created a map on the wall to follow but the map was also very confusing. We got about a little over half way through when the game ended and the gym came in to explain what the rest of the puzzles would entail and truly I think they should make this room at least 90 minutes with how much there was to do. Also when the GM started the timer he was still in the room speaking to us so at least 10 seconds had been shaved off our game time not that it would’ve made a difference in whether we escaped but it definitely made us start the game feeling a bit off.

Hey escaperoomdudus, we're so bummed that you didn't have the best experience ever, but we thank you for your feedback. We had the conversation early on about not allowing only 2 people to play because the room is a challenge. Stuff on every wall was a design choice as it is only 2 rooms and it fit the theme of the AI trying to keep you from getting out by overwhelming you. We have had the rare 2 players barely make it out, and you're right, it's more achievable when more of you can split up, spread out and conquer. Not sure if you played our KEY OF DESTINY game, but it's more doable for just 2 people.

Totally recommend this room to a team that’s wants a challenge. Such a wild arrangement of puzzles that kept you running back and forth from wall to wall. It’s a great OG escape room with puzzles and tasks for everyone to wrap their brain around and enjoy.

Gameplay

Great gameplay for a very fun, non linear room. There were a ton a very well thought out puzzles. Really enjoyed each task and we could split our team up nicely to cover the room.

The room contained a legend which really helped us keep track of each puzzle. Definitely a must for the amount of puzzles in the room.

This was a fun old school 1st gen room with A TON of puzzles. We did it as 2 and had to take a lot of hints (which we normally try to avoid) and also they very kindly gave us extra time to finish. Probably needs a minimum of 3 people to finish in the 1 hour allotted. This room is also quite pretty and well-made. We thoroughly enjoyed it- lots of bang for your buck when it comes to the sheer number of puzzles! Great GM too- super friendly.

Kenzie and Skyler are amazing GMs. This room has A LOT OF PUZZLES. We were overwhelmed. Our brains hurt. We loved it! Both of these rooms are the best Gen 1 games I’ve ever played. We’re also the first 2 player team to escape this room in time… so, I am biased! 🤣

Really enjoyed this room! Similar to their other room in the fact that it’s a gen 1 room but the puzzles are extremely creative and clever! The room is definitely not linear, you’ll need to divide and conquer, communication is huge in this room.
