More fun than I expected it to be based on the description. It is somewhat of an escape room, but not typical for sure. You and your team enter a room with interactive touch screens. You also a wear a hat that tracks your movement. This particular game is a scenario where you must solve a mystery of a fire. The game features a mix of point-and-click escape room puzzles, which I enjoy, even though they’re mostly easy. And then there are also challenges using either the touch screen or movement. The motion based dexterity puzzles aren’t as fun, but they’re technically skippable if you take too long. I liked the humor of the game, the voice acting, and the cleverness of the final challenge. It isn’t mind blowingly immersive since it’s just a virtual game. But it’s a fun experience reminiscent of being boxed inside a video game. There are other games at this location, but as far as I can tell, this is the only escape room simulation. Everything else is like a game such as Tetris or Squid Game. Is this an ideal escape room experience? No, but it’s worth a try if you got time to spare!
