The de Lille family owned the Bird Apothecary for generations. Well-known for their magic and crafting talents, visitors came from afar to seek advice and magical remedies for all ailments. The apothecary was named after the family’s cherished bird, which they had miraculously kept alive for generations using their magic. In fact, the entire village thrived on the apothecary’s success and reputation—until the bird tragically passed away. Johann de Lille, the family’s youngest descendant and a brilliant alchemist, had been working on an elixir of rebirth—but he failed to finish it in time to save the bird. The de Lille family has since moved on, but it appears some magic still lingers in the abandoned pharmacy. Could this lingering magic be harnessed one final time? Maybe all hope is not yet lost.

What an incredible room. The first puzzle definitely tripped us up, but once we got past that, the rest of the room was such an enjoyable series of success and reward. The effects of this room were top notch and there were several puzzles that were unique to even an experienced escapee. I would highly recommend.

My favorite room in NYC as of May 2026
Fun puzzles. Flowed very smoothly. Great integration into the set
Decor was fantastic and integrated the puzzles. Everything had a purpose. Great use of light and sound
Gideon was a great GM. Nudged us when we asked without giving us the answer. Also really nice and welcoming.

Top end of a traditional escape room.
If had a coherent family story that was pulled through.

The Bird is a wonderful room for 2 people. MAYBE 3, if you're pushing it. But as someone who almost exclusively duos rooms with my s/o, this room felt like it was made for us! Nothing ground breaking here, but a collection of very good puzzles. The ending was a delight. All the GMs here were awesome; I don't particularly love the written-out clue system, but this is about the best I've ever seen it done. Worth a trip if you're in NYC!

I visited a few weeks ago and my friend and I (team of 2) completed "The Bird" room. What a fun experience! As a Game Master myself, I had a really enjoyable time. Very creative puzzles and the theming is very well done. We got stuck a couple of times, but the GM's are well equipped to hint to your experience level. I so wish we had time to attempt the other rooms as well as they are all highly recommended. We will have to visit again on our next trip out! Thank you MyssTic for a lovely time!

Like all the other games at MyssTic, we have another hit on our hands! This is an extremely special game - you won’t find this story or theme anywhere else. The set has such a fantastic use of space. The puzzles were a delight. Enthusiasts will love this game. We played as a team of 2 and I wouldn’t suggest many more. The hint system was so unique. Our GM Parker was incredible!

Overall, very immersive and all puzzles were creative and involved set elements. Also, the story was clear and compelling. There was a clear goal, and though there was a point where the puzzles slightly diverged from the goal, it all came together for a memorable finale. Worth the trip to Brooklyn for sure
Gameplay and puzzles were unique and fit mostly in the world. There were a couple moments where we were unsure how what we were doing played into the story. Very light on combo locks and all unique puzzles
Very immersive, and lots of set interaction

Good for group of 4 or so. Any more and there wouldn’t really be enough to do for everyone
