The de Lille family owned the Bird Apothecary for generations. Well-known for their magic and crafting talents, visitors came from afar to seek advice and magical remedies for all ailments. The apothecary was named after the family’s cherished bird, which they had miraculously kept alive for generations using their magic. In fact, the entire village thrived on the apothecary’s success and reputation—until the bird tragically passed away. Johann de Lille, the family’s youngest descendant and a brilliant alchemist, had been working on an elixir of rebirth—but he failed to finish it in time to save the bird. The de Lille family has since moved on, but it appears some magic still lingers in the abandoned pharmacy. Could this lingering magic be harnessed one final time? Maybe all hope is not yet lost.

Had so much fun, the room was beautiful and the puzzles were amazing. We got stuck on some stuff which is always disappointing, some our fault but one thing in particular had a frustrating mechanic that was time consuming. Still had an amazing experience!

Wonderful flow from start to finish. Perfect for two experienced players or up to four less experienced players. Some lovely moments throughout with strong signposting and a wonderful gamemaster (Mika was so enthusiastic and kind!)

The room may have been small, but the clues made it feel huge. The puzzles were unique, clever, and required you to be resourceful, studious, and to think outside the box. We liked how there was a mix of physical and mental challenges, sometimes that balance is hard to find and they did it perfectly. Our game master was great and kind. We loved this room!

Although a little smaller than their other rooms, the design is great and what I have come to expect from Mysstic. The puzzles are varied, with a mixture of lock and high tech elements.

Rating: 4.5/5 - Immersive, detailed set with fun integrated tech and magical surprises. Here's all the reason this room is fantastic: -The set is beautiful and fully immersive. There is nothing in there that doesn't fit the theme, no LCDs, modern looking devices, or other distractions. Even the timer and hint display are integrated into the set as decorations. -There is a lot of tech and it's fully integrated into the room and basically invisible, only a couple of physicals locks and keys but they fit the theme. Every interaction is still tactile or physical, there are no modern push buttons. -Flow as good and puzzles are fun, layered, and varied with some fairly unique ones. -The room is on the smaller side but every part of it is utilized at some point. -Good use of lighting. -It's more than a single room to explore. -The narrative is touching and the ending is satisfying. -There are a few fun and magical surprises. -The GM was helpful and friendly. -The difficulty felt right for our team of 2 enthusiasts, I would not recommend more than 3 people since the space is smaller. This room probably can't be soloed since at least one of the puzzles is designed for 2. I think I preferred The Bird over Ghost Light, but I liked both for different reasons. Bird had better tech, more elaborate set/props, and more fun and layered puzzles. In Ghost Light I preferred the narrative, more spacious set, progression from room to room, and more theatrical ending.

It’s clear that a lot of heart goes into each MyssTic room. The Bird is no exception. While the space is smaller than their other two rooms, they’ve managed to pack a lot of unique puzzles, excellent set design, touching story, and some subtle but nonetheless impressive technology. Difficulty wise, it was fairly achievable for two people to complete within the time limit. Our GM Mika was also excellent. Highly recommended, give it a go!

This was definitely my favorite game at MyssTic! Even if it felt a bit smaller than the others, the set was super detailed and immersive. The puzzles made sense and flowed well.

The gameplay in this room was very fun! The puzzles were unique and made sense. Some things were linear but some things could be done at the same time which allowed opportunities for everyone in the party to work on things. The only thing that I found frustrating was the difficulty of finding the things that were unlocked (sometimes we would finish puzzles and not understand what we unlocked or where it was).

The thing that we struggled with the most was finding things. The puzzles themselves weren’t overly difficult. This is advertised as MyssTic’s most difficult room but there really isn’t a huge difference in difficulty from the other rooms (we got out of this one quicker than the other two).

This is the only room at MyssTic that doesn’t have any spooky elements so it would be great for younger players. Even if it is advertised as the most difficult room at MyssTic, it doesn’t feel a great deal harder than their other rooms (we actually got out of this one quicker than the others).

The space is very small and there is a slight step up so it would be difficult to navigate with mobility restrictions. One part requires at least one member of the party to walk up a stair-like path. One puzzle utilizes color and another utilizes touch.

My group had been waiting for this room to open as we are big fans of MyssTic. This is the most intricately designed room I have experienced. The details and puzzle experiences all fit extremely well with the theme, and we enjoyed a lot of special moments and reveals.

Simply of the best rooms I’ve played. Terpeca winners are Terpeca winners because of atmosphere, great puzzle flow, emotional resonance and some sense of “the epic”; and amazingly MyssTic managed to achieve a lot of this in a footprint that’s a fraction of the epic top tier games. It’s a really good game, and the ending was spot on. I’m still delighted by it days later.

Really loved this room. At the time we did it, it had only opened a few weeks before, so a couple tech kinks were still being ironed out. But I think it’s the best room in MyssTic—charming and imaginative, with great flow and a nice mix of puzzle elements. A lot of detail and consideration went into this room, which is always nice.
