Roan
209 escape rooms
Terrible signposting, massive logic leaps, and some questionable design choices. Unfortunately, Lockbusters remains near the bottom of my ranking of locations in Orlando.
Gameplay
Blacklight used throughout, including what I can only guess are "replacement" puzzles for things that might have been cut or removed from the room. Several puzzles also revolve around the signs of the zodiac, and the key information--what dates go with which signs--is extremely difficult to find thanks to questionable design choices in the room. You will need to A) notice very subtle signposting and B) have someone else standing in the right spot, as you won't be able to notice that what you're doing actually has any effect somewhere else in the room. The puzzle flow is also incredibly odd, requiring you to not only bounce back and forth between rooms throughout the game but also throughout individual puzzles.
Atmosphere
The room design itself was okay, but I was really confused by the number of keypad locks in... a tomb.
Customer service
David was very helpful and kind, no complaints there.
Game tech
High tech
A mix. Several mechanical locks, but also some technology... though the way it was presented was very out of place for the room theme.
