Le Jardin de Madame Suzette [The Garden of Madame Suzette]

It was a pleasure to introduce two friends to the heights of TERPECA escape rooming with this room: it truly delivered on the immersive sets, expansive exploration, physicality, and surprises. We only barely made it out in time but our GM was helpful with well timed nudges. From my more jaded perspective there are a few things that fell a bit short for me (a bottleneck puzzle where we didn’t have a lot of entry points to solve it; a matching-visuals task where the matches were a bit vague) so I enjoyed seeing it through the eyes of my friends, and we will remember it for a long time.

The rooms were beautifully and authentically decorated. The use of audio and lights really helped to put you into the story, and there was a great sense of adventure. The puzzles left a little to be desired. One did not make any sense, and while talking out loud about our confusion, we received no hints. Later we get a pre-recorded hint that is exactly what we had already done, but did not help us. Also, there was one thing not reset (human error) so we thought we were missing something. However, we later realised it was in the room, just not where it should have been, so we indeed had it. The finale was really beautiful and concluded the adventure very well.

A brilliantly designed escape room! From the creative start to the very last puzzle, this room kept us fully engaged. The challenges were varied and well thought out, perfectly woven into the storyline. It was a fast-paced and fun experience, with beautiful decoration full of detailed touches that added to the atmosphere without ever being distracting. A truly immersive adventure – we loved it!
