Top Secret Mission

Over 150 games and this is the first one we literally walked out on. The game itself was less that expectations but one puzzle in particular really let us down. We asked for a clue and the GM said look at how it correlates. We looked at each other and said correlates to what? We asked for clarification and got a clue to a different puzzle. We proceeded to solve the puzzle thinking what needs to correlate will be in the next solve. It was not. Back to the puzzle we tried and tried to see a connection for 25-30 minutes. With 2 minutes left the GM entered the room and solved the puzzle. I ask him to show me the correlation and he said “he couldn’t because the clue we had didn’t go to our game”. It was a reset issue. 25-30 minutes of frustration on a puzzle we didn’t have the right information to solve. That was ridiculous.
