Batman™: The Dark Knight Challenge

I give the game itself a neutral rating, neither great, nor awful, but very in line with what I expect from this company. Getting to play a game with my clever friends, and spand some quality time with them was the real highlight, in all honesty, but that's not what Morty's ratings are for. Comic and movie fans will appreciate this game. Multi-room, but a bit on the smaller, side. Group of 4 was about ideal.

Great game. Very nostalgic.

This is a classic example of when the game masters focused 90% of the attention on the aesthetic and Batman design and 10% on actual gameplay. The design and screens were incredible, story was good and on theme, got to see my favorite Batman characters but overall actual gameplay and logic of puzzles were weak. Not very intuitive and felt like “random” things to do compared to the linear nature of other rooms. Overall, fun to do if you like Batman but if you could only do 1 room, I would recommend any of the others (7 Deadly Sins, Scooby Doo) etc

The only thing we had a difficult time with was fully listening to the beginning instructions. Use the golden rules of escapes rooms. Other wise it was an ok room.

This location is new and already has puzzles in this room that didn't work. The game master then lied and said that the broken puzzle is meant as a red harring. Drawers didn't open and required hints to figure out they should have already opened. At the end we were hurried out of the room after finishing and the game early, and the game master was not nice and very much just wanted to hustle us out

In every escape room, they mention during the orientation safety video that props shouldn’t require more than two finger strength. In our case, doors and drawers opened but after we had to pry things and there were no indicators to tell us where and how to apply pressure. Not a fan of this or the leaps of logic required. By far, this is my least favorite of all the Escapology rooms. The execution of the theme felt lazy and Batman didn’t even sound like Batman. One of the puzzles was so silly that it makes me want to just forget this whole experience if it were not for the friends that I did it with. Our game master also sounded really tired and had no energy at all.

The series of rooms were very small and confined, there was at least one puzzle that after wed been given the clues, still didn't make any sense and I think the GM giving us the clues actually had it wrong. The Batman theme was decent, though
