It has been over three decades since the Hillman family went missing from their Pig farm home in rural Australia in the early 1990's. Since their unexplained disappearance, countless other groups have gone missing in the area, leaving investigators baffled and without an explanation. An elite private investigator, Harry Cooper and his assistant Jessie, have been flown in from overseas to enter the abandoned residence and try and crack this case. Only, they too have gone dark and not been heard of in just over a week. You and your team are being sent in as backup to bring them home and try and work out just what is going on.

Remarkable. This was so tense the entire time, but in a great way. As someone who loves horror but is incredibly easily scared, I had a great time. The puzzles weren’t difficult, I would have enjoyed a bit more ‘solving’, however you can tell it is meant to be more about the experience anyway. Liam was the live actor who ran our experience and he was fantastic.

OH LAWD, HE COMIN'. Easily the best of the rooms I've played at Doctor Q so far. The first thing that struck me, as with most of the rooms here, is the sheer space. The rooms seemed to keep going and really felt like you're entering an abandoned house. It's a shame that you can hear the lobby and people walking past the front door so clearly; it could use a little improvement to help with continued immersion. Definitely one that focuses more on the story and the live actors than the puzzles, but I was rocking with it. The focus on the hide-and-seek style of scares was pretty fun, and probably my preference for the live actor style. The puzzles were pretty sparse and not super engaging; they definitely felt like they could be better designed within the room. Specifically, the last room which contained one "puzzle" and felt like a bit of a waste of space. We also got out in around 40 mins, not great for the 90 minute experience advertised. I WANNA SEE THE GIANT WOMAN.

RUN. Had a really interesting experience playing Bloodline, having full knowledge prior of the horror and live actor elements I went in expecting some genuine scares and was given just that. The thing that first struck me was the size of the space, Doctor Q are no stranger to an expansive set and this was no exception. A multitude of rooms, hallways and hidey holes made for a pretty killer evil lair which leant itself really well to the physicality and unpredictability of the scares. From the moment we were lead in, there was a sense of dread as to who or what could be lurking around each corner, even in a group of 4 we were constantly uneasy. Blend that with the constant “hide and seek” style of gameplay and you’ve got yourself a really fun and urgent experience. Very well done. However, much like many horror escape rooms that exist today, the scares (while great) definitely took priority over the puzzles and story. For a 90-minute (escape room) experience, I think I counted maybe 4 or 5 genuine solves, all of which felt pretty straightforward. I understand this isn’t exactly the selling point of this genre but personally, if the puzzles aren’t solid, you may as well just call it a haunted house. Credit to our actor (the non-evil one) who did his best to keep us up to date and immersed in the story around us but I think without proper, well thought out puzzles it can become easy to drop out (looking at you, random 10 button sequence). Overall still a really solid horror experience with a clever use of space and urgency. One I’d recommend to a group of friends looking to switch off, run around and have a blast. JARVIS, MAKE HER 8 FEET TALL.

A short window of time is given to players so they can quickly hide from the live actor. This requires ducking, crawling and crouching under various pieces of furniture on multiple occasions at pace.
