This is one of those really cool looking rooms that makes you feel like you’re living in the storyline. The aesthetics are on point and the props are well made. Each puzzle was enjoyable and unique, but they didn’t make logical leaps just for the sake of being difficult. While the puzzles were challenging, I have to say that it’s not a “more people are better” situation. We had a team of 4, and all agreed that it would have been most enjoyable with two, maybe three max. Part of this is due to the physical space/square footage of the room, but the other part is that the puzzles are completely linear and you will basically have 1 to 2 people working on a puzzle while the others watch and wait for their turn at cracking the next one. I also wouldn’t recommend this for first timers, as the difficulty might get frustrating if you’re completely unfamiliar with some common escape room puzzle concepts. Net-net: if you’re a habitual room escapee you’ll love the design, mechanics, and features of the room, but be conservative with your party size. You’ll want to keep all the puzzles to yourself.
Brilliant design. Small room, but beautifully crafted.

While at Mystic, we played all three of their games (The Pink Panther, The Amulet of Time and The Book of Souls). We are very experienced players and thought this room blew the others out of the water!! First of all, huge shoutout to the tech person because what the heck?? Some of the best tech I’ve seen in an escape room, rivaled only by Rabbit Hole. There are some insanely clever and immersive props and mechanics in this room. I don’t want to spoil anything but the tech is very advanced and totally unexpected for a “general public” recreational game! The puzzles were authentic and original (none of this number and key lock nonsense). A diverse and creative skill set is required to solve the room. The flow was great and kept everyone constantly moving and the puzzles were multifaceted! You know how some rooms feel like a plug and chug? Find a number sequence, find a lock. Get a key, find something to unlock?.. well, not this room!!! I really am still blown away by the creativity and diversity of the puzzles while still remaining cohesive with the theme! Well done Mystic!!!
