Blackwater Harbor: Echoes of the Deep

Rating: 4/5 - My favorite here so far, immersive and tech filled Here's what I enjoyed about this room: ➕Set looks great and is immersive, every inch is decorated and every object fits the theme. ➕Lighting is dark and moody but there was sufficient spotlighting to see the puzzles ➕Multiple rooms to discover and explore ➕Lots of tech (RFID, maglocks, sensors, LEDs), only a couple of padlocks. ➕Some special effects ➕There is ambient audio and sound effects which adds to the immersion ➕Some fun surprises and some effective jump scares, ending is also cool. ➕Puzzles were more on the easier side, but still enjoyable. There was a decent variety. ➕GM was friendly but we didn't really need much help. I'd recommend teams of 2-3 enthusiasts. Our group of 3 finished with 23 min left and no hints. No crawling or climbing. There are some jump scares and the set has some spookiness so I would say it's very lightly scary. We had a mix of experienced and new players and all had a great time! Theme was great, jump scares were fun (and not too scary!), and vibes were spooky.

This was probably the coolest escape room I have done to date. The scenery was great, the puzzles were tough, and the vibes were very spooky

One of the best rooms I've done! Great flow with the puzzles and even though we escaped with plenty of time left, the amount of puzzles and details were awesome.

Overall, the set design was great, as is typical for Escape Room Novi. The room was fine, I had a good time, but there were no real stakes, no immersion into the scenario. Certain story elements felt like they came out of nowhere, and the puzzles were missing the "Why?" aspect. It was a lot of, "put this thing here because this is obviously where it goes," with no explanation of why we were doing it or what it accomplished for us.

This was a delightful room! Atmosphere, set design, and flow were great. Delightfully creepy, but not scary. Puzzles were varied and fun. Would highly recommend for small groups!

Nice people run the place. Nice job with the puzzles and theme. Solid 8/10 room. A little on the easy side if you have a lot of experience, but still fun and would recommend.
