Bob's Lost: The Boy of Painting [Immersive Experience]

This was a unique “homemade” type room that inadvertently ended up teaching you how to use studio equipment! The story line was fun, the set design was super homemade/well done, and the staff were incredible. As with any room, there’s of course trial and error! The only feedback I’d give is maybe scaling back on how many written things were needed to get through, and possibly limiting the learning/useage of equipment to 1 thing instead of 3. It was super cool to learn how to use them, but did become a little bit overwhelming whilst trying to also solve the puzzle(s). Overall love what the owners were going for as it was very different and excited to see what they come out with next!

Creativity is a 10/10! Things I enjoyed: - The scrappy, homemade feel to the set! - The interactions with the audiovisual equipment - The unique storyline - The ability to lean into silliness - Puppets!!! The gameplay itself was a little bit rough at times. The environment was a bit overstimulating for me, and could have benefited from a little more signposting. There is a lot of reading in this room, which I typically don’t care for, but I was vibing with the story so I didn’t mind too much. I played shortly after this room opened, so the designers are still making some tweaks. I’m sure once some of the kinks are ironed out, things will run more smoothly! This was unlike any escape room I’ve played to date. A memorable experience!
