This was my second time heading to The Bureau after a fun experience with The Puppet Heist. As much as I love The Bureau, this time I was a little heartbroken. The opening experience wasn't there which really sets the mood for the company, but they managed to make it work with what they had in place while they are revamping it. The game itself was a unique story that I haven't come across yet and the scenery was impressive as always. The gameplay flowed alright, there was maybe only 1 puzzle that we questioned but unfortunately towards the later part of the game, we had a technical malfunction which set us back a few good minutes and really affected our flow of the game. The ending was cool but I wish it was a little bit more visible. All in all, I enjoyed the game but so far Puppet Heist is still at the top of my list.
Gameplay
The gameplay flowed alright, there was maybe only 1 puzzle that we questioned. Like all Bureau games, you won't find any locks or keys here and the tech in this room is pretty nifty. The final game was a little interesting but I liked how it included everyone working together and led to a fun ending.
Atmosphere
The Bureau's highest grade has always been in it's scenic design. The set really felt like we were in a laboratory and the special effects towards the later half of the game set the bar pretty high.

Unfortunately towards the later part of the game, we had a technical malfunction which set us back a few good minutes and really affected our flow of the game. At first we didn't know if we were missing what we were needing to do or if we didn't have the right part, but soon they communicated to us that they were "hacking" into the system, & was able to reset the puzzle from behind the scenes and get us started back up.

This game isn't too physical besides some back & forth but there will be some hide & seek components of the game so keep that in mind. My only suggestion would be to make the audio moments a bit louder.

The Bureau has so far been my group's favorite place for escape rooms. The combination of atmosphere, set design, customer service, and the staff themselves has caused us to fall in love with The Bureau. We recently did theAftwr Dark service they provide which includes 4 rooms back to back with free coffee and half off on all drinks. My group did Possession at Haddon Heights, Lab At Lochness, UFO: Go for Launch, and Dr. Braingood. Lab at Lochness was my least favorite room they provide at the Bureau, but that isn't to say it was good it just goes to show that their other rooms were that great. This room starts off with a separate group so you have to communicate with each other and this was a fun aspect until the lack of puzzle in the first area caused some to stand there waiting for both teams to solve the last puzzle. Once that hurdle is crossed you enter the final room where the puzzles are a bit lacking as well but the set design is still wonderful. This was the only room we had technical issues with but was quickly fixed and we were given a free drink as compensation. The customer service and overall kindness of the staff are what make these experiences at the Bureau one to always remember.

This was the first game we played at The Bureau and also our first split start. We had been avoiding split starts since there are only two of us but we were able to do it so it was a big confidence booster for other split start games. A cute but somewhat brief game. I believe this was The Bureau's first game and they have definitely elevated their games since this one.

Nothing really innovative but I liked the Loch Ness theme.

Set design was good but a little sparse. Effects were good.

This was my first experience with The Bureau and it was AMAZING!! Their set was very immersive and the puzzles were very unique! So much so, we didn't touch a single padlock in this room! We didn't expect to be seperated in two seperate rooms from the start, and the communication between the two rooms was difficult with only 2 people, but it was very memorable.

don’t waste your money coming here. not traditional game play, everything’s electronic and half of them are broken. this room was super easy and boring. might be fun for tourist who have never done a room before, but if you’re an escape room enthusiast you won’t have fun here.

My group didn’t vibe with this room…first off the entrance of the building, loved it. Now on to the room, you are broken up into different rooms and communicating is key otherwise you will fail. There were few puzzles and a lot more tasks however at the end there were some broken elements and we should have escaped sooner then we did but the GM wasn’t understanding the puzzle was broken. Once finished the GM was a different person then we started with, never had that experience before and wasn’t a fan. They also didn’t know what our final time was so I’m glad I remembered when we escaped. Would hope their other rooms are better but not sure when I will be back.
