I would recommend it to others if they’re into these kinds of puzzles. It didn’t feel linear in the sense that the puzzles didn’t seem to have that much connection. It was linear in the sense that you needed to accomplish one to get to the other but storyline wise, I don’t know that they made sense. The puzzles weren’t as fun as some puzzles Ive done elsewhere and some of the puzzles were left open. At the end we got asked to reenter pieces because it wasn’t activated tech how it was supposed to. We also waited 15 minutes past our start time to be greeted by a host and we had things to do after the game so this interfered with our day. We showed up ten minutes early additionally so we waited quite a while and this upset everyone involved. It was 12 in the afternoon so although the bar is cool, it did not help with the wait. Overall very cool story. Good room. The tech was great. I wish the puzzles were a bit different and that our experience with the room itself was different because we may have liked it more then

This room is a must if you love Legend of Zelda. Even if you’ve never played, come if you’re a fan of lore, beautiful set design, and top tier mechanics. Our game master did such a great job of immersing us into the story from the minute we walked in and all the puzzles worked out beautifully. You can tell if the input is correct right away (immediate feedback) and there were no Gen 1 lock and keys here. The bar is set so high and the Celtic theme is stunning. We must have finished with 35 minutes remaining. We are visiting from out of town so we have not yet been to their Littleton location but after this experience, we booked their newest room - Nikola Tesla right away! The escape room is located at a lounge area. You are encouraged to have a drink when you’re done with gameplay and it’s a nice place to decompress and socialize.

I’ve become a big fan of Mystic games because of their obvious care for detail and the overall experience, and Tears of Freya only reinforced my fandom of this business. Before tonight, my favorite Mystic game was the Book of Souls, but now I don’t think I could pick between the two. Excellent game, beautiful set design, massive amounts of fun, and as always, leaving me looking forward to my next visit. Outstanding game, team Mystic!

Wow!! What a great room! We’ve played all the rooms at Mystic’s Littleton location, so we were stoked to see another room open closer to us in Denver. The room was excellent with some fun, techy mechanics and puzzles that were the right amount of fun and challenge. We did the room with four people and it was just right. They have also re-modeled the bar out front, and it is SO cute now! A major upgrade from when this spot was the escapist. The bartenders were very friendly, and we tried one of the non-alcoholic holiday cocktails and it was delicious! You also get a free drink coupon when you escape the room! Excited that they just opened a second room at this location- can’t wait to go back!

I just LOVED this room. Many original puzzles and you could feel the love of the owners vision in a great way. Everything flowed very well. We didnt experience any of the puzzles not working or malfunctioning and just had fun being immersed in this magical love lore! I highly recommend if you are in the Denver area to do this room. We played 2 people and I would recommend 3-4 or 2 experienced players! Also has a bar which is totally cool for a date/party or all around great night out. Im not a huge fan of a ton of reading or an immense number of locks and this was perfect as the puzzles had some traditional aspects but spun in a modern way and just fun!

Mystic!!! Such a great room!!! We’ve done all the rooms in their Littleton location. And this place recently opened. Great vibe and bar! Great room!!! Really cool!

The good: The puzzles were very creative and the decorations were done well. The bad: Some of the puzzles had kinks that need to be worked out. One in particular had an engineering flaw making it so that you could have the correct orientation yet the puzzle would not acknowledge it. That same puzzle had 2 variables to match up 3 different times, but didn’t give an indication which variable was 1st and which was 2nd, making it hard to tell if you figured out the clue or not. Finally, the last puzzle was very simple yet unintuitive, giving a very anticlimactic ending. When things started happening, we all had this feeling of “oh boy, here it comes… the final one!” only to find out that it was over. All 6 of us left feeling different aspects of disappointed. The common thread was that we all felt like too much mental energy was spent on the poor transition pieces and repeated efforts due to puzzle design flaws rather than spending that mental energy on the actual puzzles themselves. Hopefully Mystic can re-think some of these elements and bring this room up to the standard of their other rooms.
