Beat the clock and save Gotham City once and for all. Gotham City, a metropolis plagued by crime and injustice, is in dire need of heroes. In response to the escalating threats, Batman has initiated a new Gotham City Guardian training program. You have been carefully selected for the program to attempt a new and intense training exercise that includes stopping a training device Batman planted in the heart of Gotham City filled with a non-harmful chemical compound designed to mimic a legitimate chemical leak without the fatality. The device is fitted with a countdown clock that will release the gas in exactly 60 minutes after your mission start time, so you'll have to work quickly.

The escape room was far too linear; with 4 people, inevitably, 2 of us were left standing waiting for the other two to complete a puzzle. Decor was velcroed to the wall, which in many other rooms means that it is part of the puzzle, but here it was just how it was put together, leading to some confusion. Audio clues are only played once and not over all the speakers, so if no one hears them, you miss the entire clue.

Being a Batman fan myself, it was especially fun for me to get to see many of my favorite characters weaved into the story! You’re an apprentice being assigned to a “trial test” to see if you’re sharp enough to work alongside Batman! There were some awesome tech/digital elements, plus some detective work involved! I was able to escape the room with another person with 2min on the clock! I’d say 2-3 ppl would probably be the sweet spot! We asked about 4 clues. This room is light on the math and more on problem solving and spotting patterns.

Reasonably good theming, puzzles were not too difficult, but we often felt left down by the high tech or just wondering why when we moved an item a lock opened with no clear puzzle involved.

The difficulty came more from tech not quite working or a match the blinking light pattern not having a distinct starting point than from actually difficult puzzles.

All puzzles fit the theme well. Difficulty ramps up smoothly from easy to harder. The tic-tac-toe puzzle was especially fun.
