Specter Inspectors

***** An absolute blast! The Halloween version is a must-play! We recently took on the Specter Inspectors room at Surf City Escapes, and we had an incredible time! Playing as part of the premier ghost-hunting team tasked with catching all the ghosts in the abandoned house made for such a fun premise. We opted for their special Halloween version, which included a live actor and completely elevated the experience-it made the game so much more suspenseful and scary in the best way possible! A huge shoutout to the owner, who stepped in as our actor and delivered an amazing performance. Our game master, Joseph, was also fantastic, keeping everything running smoothly while we navigated the spooky atmosphere. At 60 minutes long with a "Hard" rating, it hits that sweet spot of being challenging, immersive, and wildly entertaining. If you love a good spooky vibe with great acting, do not miss this version!

Multilinear, and a great puzzle game. Fun, spooky effects, and a great through line. Surf City is definitely the place to be!

I played all four games today as solo player. Let me first start off by saying what a wonderful company. Every person on the staff was incredible and I was able to meet one of the owners. She was awesome. My game master Joseph, who did all my games was really fun to work with. Every single one of their rooms is well thought out and perfectly executed. They all were extremely different from one another. You can tell the amount of thought that went into each room. If you are a first timer, novice, or experience you have to come to surf city escapes. Specter Inspector is probably the most challenging room due to the share amount of puzzles that are there. What’s cool about this room is that they have two different modes so if you come with your kids, they can tone it down which is great. I played it on under their Spooky version and had some really cool jumps.

I had an amazing time playing Spector Inspector. The storyline was incredibly immersive and blew us away right from the start, making the whole experience feel like a real adventure. The puzzles were clever, well-designed, and really satisfying to solve without being frustrating. On top of that, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this escape room if you’re looking for something fun and engaging.

Had a lot of fun in this haunted room - with four of us, we really prize non-linear rooms with enough puzzles to keep us all busy and Specter Inspectors did not disappoint. We found this to be more of a medium difficulty room and escaped in 36 minutes - might have been better with 3 people. Set and props were immersive and in good working order. Customer service top notch! Overall a great room!

Absolutely fantastic time at Spectre inspectors. Clever gameplay wonderful hosts and perfect level of creepiness atmosphere. Absolutely would recommend doing multiple rooms here. It’s such a lovely location, so be sure to set aside some time to grab dinner at one of the many lovely places to eat here. Be sure to park in the regular parking and they will validate, but this is not apply to valley parking. Thank you to Ben and all is people. Everyone was so fun and treated us very well.
