A kid at heart, you decide to explore the backstage area. After all, you always did want to join the Carnival. You wander past faded tents and rusted cages until you come upon the animal encampment. A heavy door stands ajar. Curious, you step through after which it clangs shut behind you like a tomb. You’ve just walked into the Lion’s Den. Inside the cage, a ragged figure stares at you, wide-eyed and trembling. They tell you the lion tamer stepped out just minutes ago but when they return, you’re the main course. A low growl echoes from beyond the bars. The beast is close. The air reeks of old meat and fear. To buy time, you’ll need to scavenge the den for scraps of food, just enough to distract the lion. But that won’t hold him for long. Solve the puzzles. Release the prisoner. Find a way out before the lion breaks free. Or become dinner. You have 20 minutes. Feeding time is coming.
