The Chopshop

Chopshop was decent. A challenge that pushed us to the final 30 seconds. The room style is very gen 1 with a lot of locks codes and keys openly available in the main rooms. There is some tech too but nothing crazy, audio in the room is a little harsh. There’s one puzzle you can solve in two ways which could cause a red herring depending one when you find out the second way. Vibes are interesting and service is very lax, but nice, they run a bunch of different groups at once so I could see it being hard if you needed a lot of help. Randomly the thing that stood out the most is the waiver is incredibly long. Overall we had a good time and I would say check out the room if you happen to be there.

Chop Shop was an okay escape room overall. We managed to get through the puzzles with just the two of us, so it's definitely doable with a smaller group if you have some escape room experience. The room relies pretty heavily on first-gen locks and one of our biggest challenges was trying to figure out which lock went with which puzzle. There were a few times where we had the right answer but weren't totally sure where we were supposed to use it. Luckily our game master gave us nudges in the right direction. I did like the theming! The motorbike and garage setting helped sell the whole chop shop concept and made the space feel more realistic. The ending was also pretty cool and one of the more memorable parts of the room. Customer service was a little meh the day went. Nothing particularly bad happened, but the reception didn't feel as welcoming or as enthusiastic as could be. Overall, it was fine. I liked the setting and ending. Between the lock-heavy puzzle design and service that day, I would still recommend going since they have other fun activities to do.

Fun, unique set with fun puzzles! Enjoyed each of their rooms in this game and everything made sense (though we did need nudges for some points of confusion).

Fantastic room! The room flows well and the puzzles are well thought out. It incorporated clues to solving puzzles in a way I haven't seen in any other rooms (done 70+). Highly recommend!

Great room. Lots of elements. We’ve done many rooms and this is in our top favorites. Very creative theme and puzzles. Great job guys. We can’t wait for your next room!

My fiancé and I love escape rooms! He has done over 300 at this point and I have done about 270-280 rooms at this point. We were both really excited to find there were still more in SD that we have not done because we thought we had done them all, so when Ragescape came up, we were thrilled. Huge shout out to first time owner, Tyler, he was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful! Have not tried the rage or paint rooms, but The Chopshop escape room was phenomenal. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or who love escape rooms like we do, you will not be disappointed. This room was 10/10 especially for a first escape room, they are working on more rooms, we will definitely be coming back! Very solid tech smart room, great immersion, and theming as well!

This was a really fun room. Lots of unique puzzles, smooth flow, set design + theme spot on. Really creative stuff

Such an incredible experience with an unexpected twist. The set design is really cool and incorporates incredible work from a local artist, the puzzles are creative and challenging yet flow well and make sense, the special effects are really cool and add to the overall experience, and the escape room kept us entertained throughout our entire experience, whether it was taking in all the details and set design, looking for clues, or solving puzzles. The Chopshop has a cool vibe, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!
