The Shadow Runners [Outdoor]

This was my third outdoor escape game and compared to the previous two it was disappointing and not worth the money. First the nice parts: The path you walk is nice, starting at Brandenburg Gate and walking a ~2,5km round trip through Tiergarten Bering made aware of some statues/ marks in Tiergarten I didn’t know existed. Also it’s very convenient that you can start at any time without a specific slot. But: * The puzzles and tasks were all super easy (=boring even for non-experienced players) * You are not given any materials as you do in other outdoor games, thus you never have to combine anything you brought with what you see at the puzzles locations. Thus the type of tasks you get are basically always the same (there was much more variety in the games where you had materials) * the game was played in the browser of your smartphone - on none of our phones it worked probably 100%. Because we had it open on 4 phones in parallel, at least one was luckily always working, but also at least one was always stuck somewhere. In theory it should work for up to 8 players in parallel. * the overarching story itself was not very convincing and the end was just dull with no interesting finale whatsoever. A bit more creativity in storytelling is required to keep people interested in the “plot” All in all: I wouldn’t recommend this outdoor escape game to anyone. There are better outdoor games available (even at the same venue) that offer more variety in tasks and better story telling.
